One of tamheals's friends in Florida once told us that "Colorado is the lesbian capital of the world." While it's a great place to meet other girls while hiking, walking your dog, or pursuing higher education, I don't know about in the world.

On the other other hand, we have a lot of awesome gay ministers of non-mega churches.

Too boring, I suppose.

"Gay minister brushes teeth, watches 3rd quarter of Broncos-Chargers game"

Really there *is* a lot to write about, in what they're preaching and doing in their churches. It's just not the sensational, shocking "homosexual lifestyle," which sells.

When I was getting ready to leave Colorado to go to Portland, OR, many people told me that Portland is the Lesbian capital of the world. I was excited by this, but I have not found it to be true. My observation is that there are a lot of cool genderqueer people, a lot of laid-back liberal hippies here, and a lot of conservative evangelicals here.

I'm curious to find out how many other places are purported to be the Lesbian/Gay capital of the world.

Heh, I was in New Orleans in May with a church group (from Boulder) that was overwhelmingly dikey-looking, and the waitress asked if we were from Portland.
