Everyone is upset about the prospect of the Detroit Zoo closing, but I haven't heard a word of dissent about the closure of the Detroit Historical Museum. This was my favorite museum as a child with it's basement faux store fronts to look like turn of the century Detroit. if it makes you feel better, i had a conversation about it with two friends last night. i hadn't even heard about it, and one of the guys said he only found out about it because he got a letter at his house from the museum about it. this city is really doing it's best to run itself into the ground, and i'm bouncing. this city is managed by people who can't do one fucking thing right.

Why would anyone want to go to detroit when they can just go to Henry Ford's white utopian village in dearborn?
