Oh Fantastic!

There were so many twists and turns in this it caught me off the hoof every time. From waking up in the hospital "with bars on", to creepy test card girl and the suicide bid, to waking up to the sound of Bowie's "Life on Mars" where for one second you had me thinking he'd gotten home... to the groundhog day of a return to the office where, no matter what he does he still can't escape the fists of the Gene Genie....

What a rollercoaster ride!

Brilliant!

Oh I really like this. Especially the reliving of Sam's first day in '73. Great characterisation too. Please write more!

Now this is clever. I loved the idea of him spending the first day all over again, and knowing what was going to happen.

I think a whole fic in the style of Groundhog Day would be brilliant - I'd like to see him get past the first meetings and on to the case. (Any chance? Yes - I'm angling for more fic!).

Thank you so much! Groundhog Day is one of my absolute favourite films - it's just such a fascinating concept. You have to wonder how many 'risks' Sam might take with people if he knew it was all going to reset at midnight, heh. Will have to see what I can do... :-)

I think it would be a freer Sam, but I think like you had it in your fic, even if Sam knew what was going to happen, the other characters would still pull him back to the original story line - like when you had Gene punching Sam!

I always like your LoM fics, so if you do write a Groundhog Day, one I'll look forward to reading it.

Hee. Fantastic. Suceeding to travel through time, just not to the right time.
