Aw I love your Dawn/Spike. They're two of my favorite characters and although I'm a hardcore Spuffy shipper, I like to read the occasional Dawn/Spike fic. Hope you'll give us more :)

You know I just prompt these things for you anyway, and the fact that you bite (muahahahahah /evil laughter) totally makes my day. AND GETS MORE DAWN/SPIKE FIC OUT THERE. You're welcome, universe.

I love that this is all sort of in Dawn's head because that makes it so much more canonical for me. I mean, it's so easy to imagine Dawn have these thoughts and you not only capture the fifteen-year-old grief-stricken girl who lost her sister, but also that girl who is alive and want. I think just the symbolism of that is beautiful, because wanting in a way is the essence of living; the right here and this moment of the whole thing. And it's tragic too because she knows she's not ~real, that she's ~nothing, not even Buffy's sister and that has to make tragedy a lot worse to deal with; and I love how the fic, in its writing, contradicts that, because nobody who feels or grieves or ( ... )
