OUCH.

I love how Elena is always left a little bit aside, caught up in the whirlwind. It's never up to her when they leave, because there's something going on between those two, and she just tags along. She just seems so numb, it's excellent. And I love how Damon touches Stefan the way he usually touches Elena (Damon holding Stefan's face in his hands, Damon's fingers gently brushing over the blood on Stefan's face, Damon taking a towel to wipe the blood of Stefan's face.).

In short, this is flawless and you're flawless. Thank you! <333333333

ouch is a nice reaction, I like it.

I love that even though the series starts as the Salvatores only being together again (in the sense of in the same town) is because of katherine/elena, but very soon you start realizing that really, for each of them, there'll never be anyone as important as their brother, not katherine, not elena, anyone.

YES, loved that the touching came across as a parallel to how damon usually touches elena.

This is a deliciously dark thing about the ot3, showcasing their dysfunction going hand and hand (with a really strong grip too) with their tender moments. Or: I love it plenty.

This is such an interesting and melancholy look at a future for this ~triangle. The shifting planes between them, and how they don't necessarily bring out the best in one another--even as a super unit of 3. Really great.
