I rarely read Klaus/Caroline, but this was just how I like 'em. You totally nailed the playful ridiculousness. Also the fact that it's not so satirical when both crave the fairytale so. (But can it really harm to play-pretend? It's only forever, right.) There is something that rings like the laughter of broken children playing hide and seek. (Did I just write such a thing. Whatever.) It's really lovely.

She'll be sitting in a bar, flirting with some dark haired man, and he'll be talking to another woman, because sometimes he likes to be chased as well.
