Did they send out an e-maul to everyone about what they're doing for those of us who were unable to come in (in my case, because there was a stalled and spun-out car blocking the exit from the complex)? Do we get an occurrence, or will they allow us to take a vacation day?

We were sent a policy reminder, the part that would be relevant for you guys is this:

>>>> OFFICES OPEN: If the offices are open, employees are expected to work on time as scheduled and to plan ahead and take care (e.g., leave early, etc.) for safe arrival on time. If you cannot report to work due to the inclement weather situations, you will be required to use vacation or a personal day. If vacation or personal time is unavailable, time not worked will be unpaid. <<<<

This the main company version, and I believe we follow the same. I don't know how it works for you guys, but they're more unforgiving over here. We have absolutely no excuse to not know what the weather will be, since, ya know, the weather center is 150 ft THAT way XD.
