Sticking your nose in

So, today's adventure involved P (aka Golden Boy) and I pulling some poor (probably) drunk and very distressed girl out of Darling Harbour's waters about 30m away from 2 buses full of people who sat and watched.

You are my hero, yet again. Batman would be proud.

(For the record, Milgram and the bystander effect do get taught in Psychology, but that's only taught as a high school subject in Victoria and South Australia. And maybe Tasmania.)

That's good to know - as far as I know, Ireland has no Psych component at an undergraduate level although I am so long out of school they may have revamped the whole thing based on Glee and I wouldn't know.

Well done to both of you! Poor girl. I hope she's ok. You're right, too many people just stand and watch and the bystander effect should be taught in schools, along with taking personal responsibility for things that need changing. *nods*
