Thanks for posting this - IIRC I added you to begin with because I liked a Fred fic you wrote, but I often miss people's fic posts for some reason.

I can't believe more people didn't read that, though! I'd rec it except I don't... really know anyone who watches it anymore. :/ Which maybe is the problem.

Personally, I think Dollhouse really works as a possible Firefly prequel, and I'd love to see that, but I never have. I wonder if it's ever been done? I know someone (maybe you?) wrote a drabble based around the concept, but that was about it. I wasn't a huge fan of the execution of the show, I felt a lot of it was Joss Whedon trying to see how dark and edgy he could be (precisely the same issue I have with Torchwood), but the concept itself was cool and I love the thought of it being the reason people had to start a new planet. In this AU world (as it essentially has to be for obvious reasons), there's now thousands, maybe millions, of people wandering around with no idea who they were.

I can't believe more people aren't into Dollhouse. I do get it about Joss and sometimes I think that this whole indie darling, nerd king rep could go to his head. But people should be around at least for the Anthony/Priya adorableness!

You're kind of blowing my mind with this whole Dollhouse into Firefly thing. I don't know if it fits because I had my best optimism vibes going that Topher's Big Idea would work out and everything would get to be totally normal. But I could kind of see it as a beginning of the end kind of thing. We don't really know about the Firefly past or the Dollhouse future BECAUSE WE NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO FIND OUT, STUPID CANCELLATIONS!!! Not sure I'd write that fic, unless I got some kind of super inspirational brain wave, but I'd probably read it. I think that if someone were willing to take it on- in my mind, it has become something of an epic- it could be great.
