Finn sang the major verses while Mercedes harmonized on the hook and then joined in on the chorus in parts. It was a really good song that showcased their skills, and they had fun playing up the interaction too. They had worked extra hard on that part.

When the song started, any worry Tina might have had slipped away. She really did like performing and it was nice to get to sing with just one other person. Throughout the performance, she found herself mostly alternating between looking at Mike and looking at Artie. Though, her eyes swept the rest of the room on occasion and she made sure to shoot Mercedes a grin.

She'd appreciated their choices. In fact, she they were quite inspiring, and she just knew, her and Mike's song choice (mostly her choice) would definitely fit in with the theme.
Clasping her hands in front of her, Rachel addressed the group. "After careful deliberation, Mike and I decided that music, particularly singing for me and dancing for him, is what inspires us." She took a deep breath and glanced to her left where Mike shuffled his feet. "We agreed that people can bring you down, friends can turn their backs on you, but music will always be there. So today, we're performing You Get What You Give by New Radicals."

When they finished, he clapped politely, leaning in to Rachel when she sat down, whispering. "Eh, that was alright. I think me and Mercedes beat you though."
