Santana grinned and dropped the manuscript, cupping Lola's face before her fiancé - her fiancé - could sneak to the other side of the bed. She kissed the blonde slowly, licking at Lola's bottom lip for entrance.
"Hi, gorgeous," she breathed out as she pulled away.
"As if you even had to ask. This... writing, if you can even call it that, is making my brain bleed out my ears." She grinned at Lola and slid her arms around the blonde's waist. "I'd spend a lifetime with you."
"You're ridiculously cheesy sometimes," Lola said as she slid her glasses on. "You're lucky I enjoy cheese so much." She opened the laptop and booted it up. "What the story about anyway?"
"Allison thinks it will be a good promotion for my book and for the company. I'm not saying I think it's a good idea, but if they're willing to kick in a little money and send us on a honeymoon, I thought we could maybe discuss it."
Lola rolled her eyes. "That's the deal Allison offered me last week when I told her of our engagement. She said we'll be featured in a few magazines and be asked to a few events. I wasn't sure how to feel about it. So, I thought I'd discuss it with you."
"I like money," Santana said simply. "And we could go somewhere really nice." She frowned as the conversation caught up with her. "Wait. We have to go to events? Because we're getting married? Who are we, the Clintons? We have to dress up and parade around?"
Lola chuckled. "We're Jewish by heritage. We have plenty of color, thank you very much." She paused and stuck her tongue out."I think it would be more amusing for me to become Lola Lopez."
Santana tried to hold it in, she did, but she couldn't help it. "Lola Lopez," she managed to say in between laughs. "It sounds like a cartoon name, babe. But if it's Lola Lopez you want, it's Lola Lopez you'll get."
"We could go the whole 'feminist' way and do the hyphenated name thing. Princhek-Lopez. That doesn't sound bad, but if we ever had kids...poor them." Lola wasn't sure she wanted kids. She'd grown up an only child and though she'd had a lot of friends as a child, she'd never really been exposed to children as an adult.
"'What happens when we have real kids, San? You have to care.”
“Kids,” Santana sputtered, choking on the last swallow of her waffle. She stared at Brittany; the blonde was waiting for her answer. She shrugged, turning to the iron to hide her frown. “If we have kids, they won’t bite my shoes.”
Brittany laughed and kissed Santana softly on the lips, licking the melted chocolate from them. “When we have kids,” Brittany corrected before diving in for another kiss, her arms wrapping around Santana’s waist.
“When,” Santana repeated softly as she pulled out of the kiss."
Santana shook her head, pulling herself out of her memory, and frowned. "We've never talked about kids."
Lola shivered and shut the laptop. They could worry about this stuff later. There was definitely time. She turned in Santana's embrace and brought their lips together in a hungry kiss. She pushed her onto her back and straddled her waist with a moan.
