Well, that is another much-belated review. But a delightful Master story! Seeing the Doctor and Jo pay a visit to an imprisoned Master was pretty much the best thing ever. I quite loved the two sides of that-first, the pretence of a reformed and pretty much overpowered Master, guarded by a staff that had been trained to resist his hypnosis. (His

I loved that. I loved the civil pleasantness between the three of them. And the reform bit would almost have been convincing...if it weren't the Master we were talking about. ;)
SIMM AND THE TELETUBBIES WERE A TRIBUTE, GUYS.
OMG, my day was made at that point!!! :D
and thought he and the Master were allies up until they werenʼt.
Yes, that does tend to be the point where it all goes wrong. ;)
(Dysfunctional OTP alllll the way.)
OMG, he is so fucking possessive, lol! "If I can't have you, then you can't have your pets!"
There is also the swordfight of legend.
LOVELOVELOVE!!! That was beyond epic! They did well at it; so many swordfights I've seen are just clang-clang-look-cool-but-don't-do-shit...this was OMGgoingtokillyouifyoustaystillfortoolong!
The Doctor, ungrateful bastard that he is, shamelessly stole a plate of sandwiches from her later.Bad Doctor! That was naughty! Poor, poor, ( ... )

Yeah, they really nailed it! :D Intensity ftw!
Ugh, that pig. What a creep! And such a fucking wimp!
The kind of character you just love to hate ;)
OMG. So damn shippy! Awwwww, I actually almost felt sorry for him at that point!
I wanted to squish him! Which was very reckless and not a good idea at all.
(And I can't imagine why that scene made me think of you. *innocent smile*)
I don’t know, either. *bats eyelashes*

It totally was; I loved that scene. :D

Now that I'm shipping them, I so adore that about him!

Squishing the Master...yeah, I can see that being a bad thing, lol! You'd be dead (or at least hypnotized) before you knew what was happening!

Not a clue! (Lovely little monster...)

I love The Sea Devils!
Seeing the Doctor and Jo pay a visit to an imprisoned Master was pretty much the best thing ever.
Isn’t it just! I love how happy the Doctor looks on the boat to the island, when Jo looks grim and then when he sees the Master he looks positively giddy. It’s all “Weee, I’m going to see the Master!” And the sword fight is EPIC! I read somewhere that Delgado had a badly hurt shoulder when they filmed it- he must have been a real trooper!
I think the Doctor think it’s pretty great to have the Master on hand, actually. He probably think that as long as he is exiled he will at least be able to see the Master on a regular basis.
Doctorʼs first and first-glance remark being that the Master had PUT ON WEIGHT of all things. Boy, youʼve been looking at his body for sure
Not checking him out or anything, oh no! :D
XD the Master watching kiddo TV and taking it very much too seriously.
Funny, I always thought he said that to make fun of the Warden. It’s funny either way, though. And I love the tribute!

Whoa, indeed!!! That's mighty impressive!

Quite likely, and I love the sound of that ^_^

I hadn't thought of that, he sounded so serious-and genuinely puzzled!
For someone always claiming he doesn’t like Earth, he picks up an amazing number of habits; drinking, smoking and television.
True :D The hypocrit.

Heh, that's what comes with New Who being written by fans - nearly everything in it is a tribute to something in Classic Who! But especially that.
RTD even put the Macra in it! ;-D
This one is, of course, all about the sword-fighting, Clanger-watching, and sandwich stealing. I think possibly there were some Sea Devils and a plot, but I can't be sure.

Very true. And mmmm? Sorry, did you say something about a plot? Oh, yes, right. I was busy squealing, apologies ;)
