Ohhh, honey...the Who Contest entry was absolutely brilliant - but the larger version...

WOW.

You knock my socks off every time you set metaphorical pen to virtual paper!! You bring Liz to such life, bringing her out of the almost drab technicolor of her day, repainting her with brighter colors and such a vivid personality. Her intelligence and quiet fortitude show through brilliantly here, as caught as she is between these two powerful men, even as she fully realizes the power she carries in her own grasp, as quiet and restricted as it is.

Thank you for this, darling. You have shown me once more what brilliance lurks behind your wise and warm heart. Thank you, thank you...

*HUGS*

*laughs and hugs you tightly* Thank you! Your words mean the world to me, darling. I'm delighted you felt that I could bring Liz to such life ♥ It was hell cutting the shorter version out of this, really, I felt like I was losing so much, but eh, it was a challenge to rise to ;P

“Oh, yes. Then perhaps it is my turn to use inadequate terms, this time. Perhaps you ought not have done so much speaking, Brigadier. Perhaps it was time instead to listen. Possibly even to apologize.”

Ah, yes.

Really, really nicely done! I too missed some resolving of tension between the Brig and the Doctor, and this fills it very satisfyingly.
