Utterly completely gorgeous. You have polished this gorgeously, honey - and I will say this is my personal head!canon for the 'first time around' of his death on the beach. I know technically it is a 'no-River' AU, but I hold it for both - the original universe and the AU. Because we never did find his TARDIS...the one that died on the beach I mean. Where was She?

This is a terrible and yet gorgeous explanation. So vivid and raw and insane and frightening and sad...I adore you to pieces, honey. Eve helped you shape and mold this fiction (that was already a masterpiece) into a flawless jewel. Thank you a thousand times!!

Oh, that's a very interesting thought actually! Well in my mind, he never was actually dead, we only believed he was-so the TARDIS would have been with the "real" Doctor, inside the Teselecta's head… but if you go with the interpretation that this was the real Doctor (which makes sense because regeneration energy!!!) and then he rewrote his own history, it's definitely a thought worth digging on!

^_^ Yeah-I really appreciate that! I'd started up with the idea of River not existing in this 'verse, but I was kind of afraid it wouldn't be clear enough, so when the subject came up with Eve and she had such great advice, I was really pleased with the occasion to rework it properly and try to highlight that other facet of the fic… and that extra grief, though our poor Doctor doesn't even know he's also lost the woman he could have loved, since he's never had her ;)

So yeah, I hope it's kind of understandable now ^_^
