wow...that was beautiful. Loved the update, and i rushed through reading it last time, so i didnt get a chance to appreciate ur amazing style, and it really is amazing. My breathe was knocked out of me every other sentence. I love how this has progressed, the occasional snapshots of their younger days and what has happened recently, mixing in perfectly with the their present. Their relationship is beautiful in this as well, the perfect mixture of moving towards it and backing away from it all that i would expect from them .
cant wait for the next and final installment, it'll make me sad when its done.
"You can tell exactly where those keys are, can't you?" he asks.
Castiel's lips tighten in the most subtle smile. "Don't worry, he's getting warmer."
He chuckles briefly. I forgot to mention how cute and funny that was :D
I am really fuckin' dying for the next chapter, man. This is really one of the few fics you've written where I've had pretty much no clue where it's headed the entire time.
The way you wrote both of the boys in this installment really stuck out to me as perfectly in voice; there was some point towards the end where I could really just see Sam's little rueful puppyface with whatever he was saying and Dean was also amusingly beating around the conversation even as they were having it. I thought that had to be mentioned since this is a chapter in which they're finally starting to address things it's really hard to imagine them ever being able to talk about, but you've got them there through some circumstances that would believably pull all of it out into the light for them.
I really think you have captured the character voices. During the scene with Balthazar on the road it just seemed like this could really be happening in an episode.
Poor boys. At least they're finally working through their issues.
Actually read this last night but as this made me stay up late I had no choice to skip commenting then and just go to sleep. But I LOVED this part(s). I thought it was great from the Balthazar scene to their TALK. I rushed to read this when I saw the update post. I love the way you write this fic and that we don't even know where it's headed. You manage to totally surprise me at least, every single update. I think you're going this way and you go the opposite. It's amazingly brilliant and I can't wait for more. I wish I was better at telling you how this affected me and how beautiful this thing is.
Love and gratitude for this writing and posting, Vanessa
