Amsterdam and Alexander the Great!

I am in Amsterdam you guys.
It is a nice city, when we arrived it was raining but after we checked in (room wasn't ready though) it had stopped. We left our luggage at the Hotel and went straight here

Hey there! I read your previous posts but didn't really have the time to respond to them. I'm so glad you went to Amsterdam! I wish I was there with you and hell, if my financial situation was better, I would have probably gone. But, oh well, maybe next time.

Enjoy your time there! It's one of the cities I love so yeah... I hope you will have a very nice time there.

Ps. I didn't like that exhibition that much. To me it was disappointing. The book about it tho was just awesome. And yes, that line about Hephaistion being the love of Alexandros life? Jezzeee, my face when I read it looked probably as yours *lol* I was so happy and loud that people were turning and staring at me. Good times.

Book? I was so not looking at the books. Anything Hephaistion related in it? Please tell me so I can decide if I need to go back there.

We would have had so much fun. I am sure of it. But I am sure there will be another chance.

Lol, That was pretty awesome wasn't it. I will try and post my photo when I am back home.

Downstairs there is a museum store. They sell all kinds of crap plus very beautiful books/albums. Actually, I liked that store more than the exhibition itself. There was a book about the whole Alexander exhibition. The book is big, with beautiful pics of almost every exhibit. The book is way better than exhibition. The cost was around 30-35 Euro, don't remember that well.

Of course there will be other chances. And if you happen to be in Belgium this year, give a yell.

Have fun!

Oh that one. Okay that one I remember. Phu, I thought I missed something. lol
It was a great book but to heavy and to be honest, to expansive. I pay for my mother as well so I have to be a bit careful. ;o)

I will sure come back. I feel so happy and relaxed here. It is such a great city.

Thanks!!!
I do have fun. And the hotel isn't as bad as I made it sound yesterday. I was just pissed because of the no Internet at the room thing. But guess what, I am online right now AND in the room. lol still it is a bit bah. The carpet. *ugh*

Hey Möppi!!
Looks like you are having a great time in Amsterdam and it's a really pretty city with the Grachten and cute little houses. If only the people wouldn't sound as horrible as soon as they open their mouth. LOL Any Dutch people on your flist? Well, I guess they are used to a little German teasing. Neighbours are supposed to mock each other, right?
Anyway, the exhibition seems to have been perfect - if only for mentioning Phai the way they did! They dared to even write down what Oliver Stone was to chicken to display. The Dutch are definitely more liberal. Gotta love them for that! LoL
And a hotel that offers FREE COFFEE!? Hey, how can you doubt the 'superior' thing!?!? Forget about the stupid shower. Who needs a shower? You've got Grachten there to hop into all over the place. :))) But FREE COFFEE!? Which one is it? I'm coming!

HA, you are sooooo easy.

It really is rather pretty here. I don't really listen to them talking. and the moment they notice I am NOT talking dutch they are quick to switch to english. ;o)
I bet you would have liked that exhibition as well. It was pretty cool. I will post my sneaky photo as soon as I am back home.

I'm sure there are several people who'd like to differ with you on the 'easy' thing, but as far as coffee is concerned - joh! Da kann man auch mit kleinen Sachen dem Püppi eine Freude machen. LoL

I'm sure I would have enjoyed the exhibition although I'm not that much into ATG. But just to get out of here, do a nice little city trip and enjoy a hotel with FREE coffee ... Sounds like fun. I'm not sure I would have left that hotel at all, but still ... LOL

Looking forward to your 'sneaky' photos.

I'm glad you had a great time (except in the hotel room apparently LOL).

Also glad you made it back to Germany (without killing your mom LMAO).

*hugs*
Love,
Sue
