Doojoon loves to see Hyunseung. He loves to see Hyunseung smile, he loves to see Hyunseung bounces happily to him, he loves to see Hyunseung calls his name in a somewhat childish way.
Doojoon loves Hyunseung.
Doojoon loves to know that Hyunseung’s happy, he loves to know that Hyunseung’s not lonely anymore, he loves to know that the boy he knew since they were little was strong enough to take care of himself now.
Even though Hyunseung doesn’t belong to him.
Hyunseung loves to see Doojoon. He still smiles at Doojoon, he still bounces happily to Doojoon, he still calls Doojoon’s name in a childish way, with his hands linking with another male’s hands.
Yong Junhyung’s hands.
Doojoon thought the guy was so lucky to have his Hyunseung. Had he confessed earlier, could he be the lucky guy? Could he be the one who link hands with Hyunseung? To be the one who gets that beautiful smile?
“Doojoonieee-“
Hyunseung called Doojoon and waved at him from afar. Doojoon smiled, even though he’s not so sure what he’s feeling inside with the view of Hyunseung’s hand on Junhyung’s arm. But they looked perfect, and what right does Doojoon have to break them apart?
As long as Hyunseung doesn’t change, that’s all he needs.
***
Doojoon sighed tiredly and glanced at his watch. He had a night shift at the hospital and finally, it’s over. Just a year to go for internship and he’s gonna graduate and become a doctor. Doojoon felt so tired, he just wanna go home and sleep. He helped his doctor doing two surgeries today and did his best not to look away from all the blood. God, why did he even thinking of becoming a doctor in the first place?
“Hyung, you coming?”
“Yeah,” Doojoon turned his head to Kikwang, who was standing by the door.
“Wanna grab something to eat?”
“Ugh. Please. I’ve had two surgeries today.”
“Hyung, it’s been a while. You’re still not used to it? Just imagine watching Saw or Hostel.”
Doojoon went blank. “Yeah, but the fact that we have to save them instead of killing them.”
Kikwang laughed and they both continued to talk. When they reached the front office, Kikwang stopped to chat with Yukwon, his favourite dongsaeng.
Doojoon waited patiently and his eyes drifted to the people that were walking around. Some of them were carrying flowers and fruits, probably going to visit their loved ones. He smiled and wished them all to get well soon inwardly. Doojoon glanced at Kikwang. Yukwon was now beside Minhyuk, and he had a feeling that they’re dating... He could see that Kikwang was also teasing them, because Yukwon’s blushing and Minhyuk slung his arm around Yukwon’s shoulder.
He felt vibrations on his pocket and grabbed his phone. Doojoon’s lips curved into a smile as he saw Hyunseung’s name.
Coffee?
Suddenly, he doesn’t feel tired anymore. Well, he still is, but a cup of coffee is alright before heading home. Doojoon replied quickly and smiled. He put his phone back to his pocket, looked up, and found his eyes were gaze locked with a male.
Doojoon held his breath.
The male was pale. He was also slender and a bit short. Doojoon soon found his chubby cheeks adorable. He felt like pinching those cheeks-wait, what? He must be out of his mind to think of such thing in the morning. But as if he was hypnotized, Doojoon couldn’t stop staring at the other person. After a few moment, the male seemed to realize that Doojoon was staring right into him. He slowly smiled.
And Doojoon smiled back.
The male blinked and he looked surprised. He even stopped smiling.
“Hyung?”
Doojoon felt a pat on his shoulder and stared at Kikwang. The latter was staring at him worriedly.
“I kept calling you. Are you alright?”
“Yeah...”, Doojoon replied and turned to stare at the male again. But he was nowhere to be found. Doojoon frowned.
“What are you...staring at?”, Kikwang followed his gaze confusedly. There was no one at the spot that Doojoon stared right now.
“Nothing. Let’s go.”
Doojoon shrugged it off and walked out with Kikwang.
***
Doojoon was good with kids. He’d come to their rooms, read them a story and take them out to play in the garden. Since the weather was sunny so he decided to let the kids have fun outside. They ran around Doojoon’s feet, tugging his pants to catch his attention. They were feeling so happy, despite their illness. He sat on a bench, waving his hand as a sign that he’s tired but still kept his eyes fixed at the running children.
Since the weather was nice, a lot of people were walking around in the garden.
Doojoon greeted Kyung, who was walking hand in hand with Zico. Unlike Yukwon and Minhyuk, these two were pretty bold...not that Doojoon mind, though. Doojoon grinned impishly and shook his head in amusement.
And then he caught him.
The boy from yesterday.
Doojoon almost stopped breathing.
He was standing under the tree, leaning his back against it and his hands were hidden behind his back. He looked at Doojoon blankly, then at the kids, then at Doojoon again, then at the ZiKyung couple, and then back at Doojoon.
Doojoon gave him a smile and the male blinked. He even glanced around to see if Doojoon was smiling to anyone else. Doojoon snorted and decided to greet the male. It’s their second meeting, afterall.
So Doojoon did. He walked closer, and strangely enough, it seemed like the boy was even gluing his back even more to the tree...
“Hey,” Doojoon greeted. “Are you all alone?”
The male stared at him with eyes widened. Being this close, Doojoon could even see that he was really pale, and he looked tired. “M-me?”
“Yes, you. Is there anyone else around here?”
“Y-y-y-you can see me?”
Now it was Doojoon’s turned to blink. He frowned and stared at the male like he’s out of his mind. “It’s not nice to joke.”
“I-I’m not joking! Y-y-y-you can really, really, really see me?”
The male looked scared. Doojoon’s frown got even deeper. He then felt a tug at his pants. Doojoon looked down to see a girl with braided hair stared at him askingly. “Yes?”
“Who are you talking to, Doctor?”
Doojoon felt himself being electrocuted. He stared at the girl blankly and then back at the male. The male still looked scared, his hands covering his mouth. Somehow Doojoon wanted to laugh. If he’s a ghost, then wasn’t Doojoon the one who supposed to be scared?
Wait a minute.
Ghost?
There was a moment when Doojoon thought it’s impossible. A male, this beautiful, is a ghost? Yeah, right. Ghosts aren’t supposed to have chubby cheeks...they’re supposed to be floating, with horrible circles under their eyes, long hair, damaged face, white long clothes...
Doojoon stared at him from head to toe. Not that he’s fashionable, but he seemed to wear...something that you’d wear to bed. He wore casual T-shirt and pants. The T-shirt looked a bit too big for his size. He didn’t wear any shoes-and oh my God, Doojoon thought. He’s fucking floating.
“There’s no one there,” she said and tugged Doojoon’s pants lightly. “Doctor I want ice creaaamm-“
“Let’s go get it,” Doojoon said quickly. He felt himself shivered and held the girl’s hand, trying to run walk away as soon as possible.
“HOMG you can see me! You can see me, can’t you? You can see me!”
Doojoon heard the male was shouting and it was hurting his ears but since he’s the only one who can hear it, he tried to ignore it. “I prefer blood, I prefer organs, I prefer surgeries...”, he mumbled to himself and thought of a most disturbing view of blood and spattered organs ever. He preferred to be scared of blood than ghost. “I’m not scared, I’m not crazy, I’m not mental...”
“Wait! Please! Please just-I don’t know, please stop if you can see me! Please just stop right now!”
Doojoon stopped as he was told abruptly and the male glided right through him. Now they were face to face, and Doojoon’s eyes widened. Did he just glide through me?
“Please...”, the male pleaded with puppy eyes. “Please hear me out...”
Dammit, a ghost with puppy eyes? This is even more confusing.
Doojoon facepalmed and sighed. He suddenly needs his daily cafein dose right away.
***
Half an hour later, a very quiet Doojoon was standing in front of the vending machine, with a male ghost following on his back. Just before, Kikwang appeared and Doojoon decided that he needed a break, and Kikwang was willing to play with the kids. Doojoon’s been desperately trying to kick the ghost away-but what can he do? The ghost’s been pleading and screaming that he’s a nice ghost, that he’ll not kill Doojoon, that he won’t even disturb Doojoon-though he already did by screaming near Doojoon’s ear.
So he gave up, and eventually he believed that he is a nice ghost, and a pretty good looking one too. Wait, what did he just think?
“Um...”
The ghost tried to speak again. Doojoon glanced at him before pushing the ice coffee button on the vending machine.
“Yoseob,” he said shyly. “Mind to intro? Like, name, age, interest, hobby...”
What are you, a kid?
“...Doojoon.”
Yoseob’s eyes widened and he beamed happily at Doojoon, now that they’re interacting. “Doojoon!”
Doojoon grabbed his can of ice coffee and started walking to the corner where there are not many people around. He leaned his back against the wall, uncanned the coffee and started drinking. He stared at Yoseob silently, who’s currently touching his bangs nervously. It’s a cute view, actually.
“Are you...dead?”
Yoseob’s eyes flickered at the word. He looked down and twiddled his fingers. “I-I guess?”
“Oh...”
“Are you a psychic?”, Yoseob narrowed his eyes at Doojoon in interest. “Do you have sixth sense?”
“Not that I know of. This is my first time seeing your...being.”
“Well, you know what Doojoon? They say only cats and dogs who can see my...being,” Yoseob tilted his head to a side cutely. He seemed to think before saying, “Are you...half...cat? Half dog?”
A vein popped in Doojoon’s head and he stomped his feet to the floor as he walked away, feeling offended.
“Noo! I didn’t mean that! Doojoon! Please! I’m sorryyyyyy!”
***
As much as Doojoon wanted to ignore Yoseob, he couldn’t. The latter had been deliberately invited himself into Doojoon’s apartment, commenting and staring in awe to the decorated place, amazed at such softness the couch cushion was-even though he was exaggerating since he couldn’t feel it-even squealing at the king size bed Doojoon had.
But Yoseob was nice. For a...ghost? He woke Doojoon up, he reminded Doojoon if the latter was late, he even sat nicely in the corner whenever Doojoon’s taking a shower-he didn’t want Doojoon to think that he’s a pervy ghost. And Doojoon felt something strange. Even though Yoseob screamed a lot while seeing things in Doojoon’s apartment-maybe he’s an old fashion ghost? Maybe he’s born in 1937 or something?-and he was annoying, he was noisy, he even clung too much too Doojoon-but he, he felt something.
Doojoon just didn’t know what it is.
Yoseob didn’t come to the hospital anymore, whenever Doojoon went to work, he’d wait at home. And when Doojoon came home and have dinner, Yoseob would put his chin on his hands and stared at him, telling or asking him things that Doojoon was having trouble answering. Maybe he’s not used?
“How was the surgery today?” -it went well. I’m starting to get a hold of myself.
“Is Kikwang your boyfriend?” -Doojoon choked and thought Dongwoon would kill him if he heard the question.
“Why did you want to be a doctor?”
Doojoon fell silent. It’s my parents’ wish? It’s...an honorable job? It’s...?
Yoseob waited and even when the adorable ghost had fallen asleep, Doojoon was still thinking deeply, searching for the answer.
***
“I want to see Kikwang!”, Yoseob chirped happily as he float behind Doojoon.
“I’ll tell him you said hi...”
Yoseob pouted. “If only I’m alive, I’d be his best friend forever and ever whenever wherever! Are you sure you’re not dating him?”
“You haven’t met Dongwoon yet. He’s his guy.”
Yoseob snapped his fingers as if a light bulb was turned on above his head. “I see.” He was about to say something when a cheery voice was heard calling Doojoon’s name.
“Doojoonieeee!”
Doojoon’s eyes widened and he grinned at the direction of the voice. Hyunseung was running towards him, hands flailing and the next moment, he threw himself into Doojoon’s arms. Yoseob froze, blinking at the public display of affection in front of him.
“I miss you Doojoonie, where have you been?”, Hyunseung pulled away and he didn’t realize that Doojoon was actually blushing slightly from the previous act.
“Our shifts had been different, that’s why...”, Doojoon replied with a smile, hands still on Hyunseung’s waist.
“Oh right, it’s your turn? I’m gonna go home right now,” Hyunseung yawned. “I’m waiting for Junnie though...well, I guess I’ll go wait him outside. Whenever you’re free, call me, okay? We have to hang out!”
“Definitely,” Doojoon smiled and nodded as Hyunseung waved happily and walked away.
Yoseob put a hand on his chest, as if to stop his heart from beating loudly. “Wow...he’s...pretty.”
“Yeah.”
“A...friend?”
“A childhood friend.”
Doojoon kept on smiling and Yoseob kept stealing glances at him. Yoseob noticed that the way Hyunseung called Doojoon was special, and Doojoon seemed to enjoy it. Somehow Yoseob felt something in his heart. Wait, he’s dead...why he could still feel this emotion?
“You...like him?”
Doojoon smiled simply. “He’s getting married.”
“Oh wow, really?”
“Yeah...”
Now Yoseob didn’t know why he felt a bit happy to hear it. But Doojoon’s face was bitter, even though he tried to cover it by smiling. Yoseob felt a pang in his heart. He just wanted to see Doojoon smile. He wanted Doojoon to be happy.
“Hey, you should confess!”
Doojoon sweatdropped and shook his head. “Stop poisoning me with your crazy ideas. He’s happy with his boyfriend.”
“I’m not saying you should sabotage iiiitt! I’m just saying...confess, you know?”
“I’m not listening.”
“Confess!”
“Not listening.”
“Confessconfessconfess!”
“...”
“Confessconfessconfessconfessconfess!”
It was annoying at first and everywhere Doojoon went, Yoseob kept on enchanting it-he wondered how the boy didn’t run out of breath? Luckily, after living with Yoseob-more like getting stalked by Yoseob-he was immune to all Yoseob’s babbling. When Yoseob was tired and he was panting like he’s been running for a whole day, Doojoon was already in bed, ready to sleep.
Yoseob curled beside Doojoon and stared at the taller male’s back longingly.
“Doojoon...ie?”
Doojoon opened his eyes hearing Yoseob’s voice, but he stayed still.
“Let’s make a deal, alright?”
Doojoon kept on silent, pretending to be asleep.
“If you confess... I’m gonna leave you.”
Yoseob smiled sadly and absent mindedly touching the bed sheet.
“I keep on wondering...why is it only you that who can see me? I think about it all the time, and maybe...maybe because you need help? Maybe I’ll help you confess and then my task will be done and I’ll be gone to heaven.
“You know Doojoonie... I was in love. With a senior. But he moved too quickly...I kept on thinking should I confess to him or not...and I kept on thinking about what if he rejects me...what if he hates me...too many what ifs.
“And then he moved away. And then I regretted it. I regretted it my whole life. I kept on crying and crying my eyes out, thinking, maybe things would’ve been different if I confessed...maybe, even if we’re not together but at least I’ll feel calm after confessing...and all those things, you know? So...I don’t want you to make the same mistakes like I did...I want you, to be happy...
“I don’t even know why I died in the first place. When I woke up, and I opened my eyes, I’m here, some place strange... I think my hometown’s not in here... I think... My room was covered in white. I could hear the machine beeped... I could feel a syringe was injected to me... The place smelled a lot like medicine. But outside my room...there were flowery hills...a lot of forsythia flowers...
“God, what am I even saying?”, Yoseob could feel tears were threatening to fall. “Why can’t I remember, Doojoonie?”
Doojoon heard Yoseob was sobbing quietly. For a moment he didn’t know what do. He wished he could say something to make the boy feel better. But instead, he kept quiet, and somehow, he loved Yoseob’s voice, when he called Doojoon’s name, and it was much, much more special than Hyunseung’s.
***
Days flew by, and lately Yoseob had been so quiet.
He didn’t scream a lot around Doojoon anymore, even though he would still follow Doojoon everywhere. He witnessed a lot of DooSeung moments lately. He saw Hyunseung bounced to Doojoon as he fit his wedding tuxedo happily, mirroring himself, asking Doojoon what he think about it. Yoseob wanted to smack Doojoon a lot of times, seeing there are so many chances to confess.
Hyunseung’s wedding day is getting closer, and Doojoon accompanied him a lot. Like today, he willingly accompanied Hyunseung to order their wedding gifts as a souvenir.
“Doojoonie?”
“Yeah?”
Hyunseung brought his cup of tea to his lips, pressing it slightly. “Do you think...Junnie will be happy with me?”
Doojoon raised his eyebrows hearing the question. Yoseob, on the other side of the room, was watching them solemnly. “Why do you think he’s not gonna be happy with you?”
“I don’t know,” Hyunseung looked down. “I feel like...I haven’t known him that long...not like I know you.”
Yoseob gasped and covered his mouth. Is this...the moment?
“I guess I’m just...scared.”
Much to Yoseob’s surprise, Doojoon’s eyes softened and he ruffled Hyunseung’s hair affectionately. “What you’re feeling is normal. Seungie, come on, you love Junhyung, right?”
Hyunseung nodded.
“When you marry him, all the guys are gonna think of him as lucky bastard for having you,” he said and Hyunseung laughed. Doojoon grinned. “I’m sure you’re gonna be happy. He’s a good guy. I’m thankful it’s him that you choose.”
Hyunseung bit his bottom lip and touched Doojoon’s hand. “Thank you, Doojoonie...thank you for always there for me.”
“Always,” Doojoon smiled. They sipped their drinks, drowned in their own thoughts before Doojoon spoke up, “Seungie? I think I have something to confess...”
Yoseob heard the word, and it’s enough. He floated away as quickly as possible, and his heart was in pain. He didn’t want to listen to what Doojoon’s gonna say. Yoseob was confused. He should really stop hanging out with live people. He started to feel emotions again, and that’s not good. And now that Doojoon’s gonna confess...he should be able to go to heaven soon. Although Yoseob did lie about that part.
How is he supposed to go to heaven?
***
Doojoon was running.
“Yoseob!”, he yelled. “Where are you?”
He couldn’t find him, and Yoseob was nowhere to be found.
He had been running to the hospital since Yoseob was missing in the cafe. It was his day off, and Kyung yelled at him for running in the aisles. But he didn’t care. He just needed to see the ghost-the male that’s been following him for a few weeks, annoying but at the same strangely comforting.
Doojoon was used to the screaming, the squealing, the giggling, the laughing, he even forgot that he has Hyunseung. Hyunseung used to be his priority-but lately, why do those chubby cheeks appeared involuntarily in his mind? His smile-God, that smile of his. He’s still even too beautiful for a ghost.
“Yoseob!!”
“I think I’m in love,” Doojoon said.
Hyunseung blinked his eyes rapidly. “You are?”
“Yeah. He’s...annoying, he’s...childish, he’s noisy, but he’s...he’s...beautiful. I...I don’t want to see him sad.”
“Oh Doojoonie!”, Hyunseung beamed at him and grabbed his hands. “Who is this lucky guy?”
“I don’t know...yet.”
“Eh?”
“I mean...I think I know where to find him... I think he’s in a hospital...”
“He’s a doctor, too?”
“I’m not sure. But I’m sure, that I need to find him. Somewhere...somewhere in this world... Somewhere, in a place full of forsythia flowers...”
“Whoa? That’s like, searching a needle in a stack! I mean, you’re probably gonna have to search all of Seoul...but, hmm, forsythia flowers?”
Doojoon was finally tired of screaming and running. He didn’t pay attention to the weird stares he earned from everyone. Doojoon tried to recall other places where Yoseob might be, but he could only think of the hospital and his apartment. Unsure of what to do and it’s getting late, he went home and as he walked into his apartment, Yoseob was curled into a ball in the corner. Doojoon was so relieved at the sight and for once, he’s grateful to be home. He rushed to Yoseob’s side.
“Yoseob?”
“I think I remembered Junnie telling me something about a hospital famous for its flower arranging...”
Yoseob looked up, and Doojoon could see his tears were already dried on his cheek.
“I still can’t go home,” Yoseob whispered. “I still can’t go to heaven, Doojoonie... B-but you already confess...”
“I’ll see what I can find, okay?”
“I didn’t,” Doojoon said quietly. “I didn’t confess anything about my feelings to Hyunseung.”
“Eh?”
“I didn’t confess, because I don’t want you to disappear.”
Doojoon leaned forward to touch Yoseob. But Yoseob couldn’t be touched. Doojoon sighed.
“Stay by my side, Yoseob.”
“B-but-“
“I don’t care, just-just stay. Please don’t disappear...”
Doojoon leaned forward once again, but this time he’s doing it slowly but sure. Yoseob’s eyes widened before he closed them in fear, and Doojoon also closed his. He pressed his lips softly against Yoseob’s-and the funny thing was, he actually felt it. He could feel Yoseob’s lips for a quick moment, and Doojoon’s heart skipped a beat. He felt like Yoseob’s actually breathing.
“Your lips are mine,” Doojoon whispered and Yoseob cried, sobbing to his hands. Doojoon clenched his fist, cursing himself for making his angel-ghost cry. He wished he’s a ghost too at the moment, so that he could hug Yoseob’s trembling body.
That night, Yoseob cuddled against Doojoon’s chest.
“Doojoonie...”
“Hm?”
“Where were you...all of my life?”
Doojoon stared at Yoseob lovingly. He was determined, and he made up his mind.
“I’ll find you, Yoseob. I’ll find you.”
Even if it’s just your grave.
***
The next day, Yoseob disappeared.
Doojoon kind of had the feeling. He woke up, feeling empty, and he could feel that Yoseob’s not there anymore. Maybe he’s gone back to heaven. Maybe he didn’t want to go back to Doojoon. Maybe, just maybe... He tried to stop making assumptions. Doojoon was left, but he’s not sad. He’s sure that he’s gonna meet with Yoseob again, someday.
And he’s sure of it.
A year later, Doojoon graduated and he decided to be a travelling doctor.
He kept on searching for hospital that got forsythia flowers. He browsed on the internet, he asked for informations, he even searched for the missing or dead people with Yoseob’s name. But he still couldn’t find anything. Another half of year had passed and Doojoon almost gave up. But he knew he couldn’t. He promised Yoseob that he’d find him. And he will.
One day, he got a call from Kikwang, saying that he’s in town for a doctor’s meeting. They were planning to meet at the cafe down the road, but since Kikwang’s meeting hadn’t finished yet and it’s already the appointment time, Doojoon decided to pick him up at the hospital. Kikwang looked so guilty, but Doojoon didn’t mind.
“I’ll be done in a few minutes, half an hour max,” Kikwang said.
“Take your time,” Doojoon nodded. He then strolled around and smiled at the surroundings. The hospital had a nice aura, it was calm and comforting. He asked to the nearest nurse where the garden is and she showed him the direction. Doojoon thanked him and he went outside. The sunray was showering his skin and it felt good. Doojoon stretched out his hands and opened his eyes-
-only to see a flowery hills ahead of him, full of yellow forsythia flowers.
Doojoon’s eyes widened and he looked over his shoulder, gauging the possibilities. His heart started to beat so fast, and he was looking for a cemetary-perhaps, but fortunately Doojoon found nothing of sort. So he ran away inside the building-walked nicely when a nurse was glaring at him-and ran away again as he saw the stairs and went up.
He stopped and leaned a hand against a wall, panting heavily. He glanced from the window in the aisle, the hills were pretty clear from here. Doojoon slowly walked past the closed rooms, he saw the names on the door-wait. Doojoon didn’t even know Yoseob’s family name. Crap. Doojoon facepalmed and he almost lost hope again. Or is it possible to ask the nurse for a Yoseob?
Doojoon was torn apart, or should he ask for Kikwang’s help? Just as he sighed in defeat and was about to head downstairs, one of the door was opened and a middle aged man walked outside. Doojoon froze, he looked so much like Yoseob-dammit, his resemblance! He looked like he’s been crying and Doojoon braved himself to speak.
“Yo-Yoseob’s father?”
He stared at Doojoon surprisingly and wiped the tears away. “Yes?”
Doojoon almost fell to the floor in happiness. His knees were weak. He is Yoseob’s father. Finally, finally. “I-I’m Yoon Doojoon, Mr...”
“Yang.”
“Mr. Yang.”
Yang Yoseob.
“I’m Yoseob’s friend.”
“Really?”, he looked really, really surprised. “Yoseob has a friend?” Yoseob’s father stared at Doojoon curiously. “Are you-a high school friend?”
“Right now it’s only a friend, but if you allow me to, it’ll be more than that.”
“O-oh...”, he was dumbfounded at Doojoon’s bravery. “Well...it’s up to him, then.”
“Wh-where is he?”
“Inside,” Mr. Yang smiled kindly at him, gesturing the room.
“Is-is he alright?”, Doojoon was scared to see Yoseob. Will he remember Doojoon? Will he remember everything?
“He was in a coma for three years due to accident. But, he’s awake now... It’s a miracle,” Mr. Yang wiped his tears again. “I really can’t believe it. All this years, I almost lost hope...but today...he suddenly... I just can’t believe it. It’s really a miracle.”
Doojoon gulped nervously. Coma? That kind of explained everything. “Can I see him?”
“Of course. Come on in, young man.”
Doojoon felt his step was heavy. But he needed to see the love of his life. Doojoon carefully stepped into the room, and his lips curved into a smile. The room was white, and from the window he could see the flowery hills-it’s really a beautiful view. Doojoon even felt more certain that this is the one. A beeping sound was heard-from the machine, and Doojoon could see a middle aged woman was crying in happiness-must be Yoseob’s mother. A nurse was listening to Yoseob’s pulse and she smiled.
“He’s okay.”
Doojoon’s heart stopped beating at the sight of the male on the bed.
Yoseob looked so weak. But even so, he was still so beautiful...even more beautiful. He was pale, and his cheeks were not so chubby anymore. He still remembered everything like it was yesterday. Yoseob looked exactly the same. God, how Doojoon loves this man.
“Appa...”, his voice croaked and he smiled weakly. He then stared at his mother. “Umma...”
“Yes, Seobie, we’re here...”
Then his eyes drifted to Doojoon. He looked sincerely confused.
“And you are...?”
I told you I’ll find you, Yoseob.
Doojoon smiled at Yoseob.
“I’m your future husband, Yang Yoseob.”
End.
