Author: FloweryMisha
Pairing: MyungYeol
Warning: BoyxBoy love. Enough said.
Summary: Myungsoo had no emotions. Sungyeol was exactly the opposite.
Author’s Note: The First and The Last’s side story. MyungYeol centric.
“L, you’re too scary.”
Sungyeol was saying it with his hands on his hips. The said male was only staring back at him deeply.
“...I am?”, L replied casually.
“No, seriously,” Sungyeol sighed and sat on his bed. “You should be nicer to Woohyun, you know? Since he’s living with us now, and he’s Sunggyu’s boyfriend, and he’s been trying to know you better. You should...stop giving him a death glare and keep on showing him that katana of yours.”
L snorted and fished his hands to his pocket lazily.
“I’m serious,” Sungyeol glared at him. “Be. Nicer. L.”
“...you know that I don’t talk much.”
“Not talking. I mean, treat him the same way you treat Sungjongie.”
“...I think I did.”
Sungyeol rolled his eyes. “How about...”, Sungyeol gestured L closer and the latter obeyed. He stretched out his hands to reach L’s cheeks and pinched them to curve a smile. “...a smile, L?”
L cringed and wiggled himself out of Sungyeol’s touch. “...you know I don’t smile.”
“Oh, you do.”
Sungyeol grinned and pointed to himself with both hands. “When you smile, you were smiling dumbly like this.”
L snorted once again and hid his face behind his hand, thinking of how dumb adorable his boyfriend was.
The taller male laughed and caressed his boyfriend’s cheek. Then their eyes met. Sungyeol smiled sweetly.
“You do smile, L.”
L’s eyes softened. “But only for you,” L replied and he leaned forward to catch Sungyeol’s lips. All of the previous conversations were soon forgotten, as their lips met and Sungyeol was drowned in a heavenly feeling. Sungyeol’s thoughts of teaching L to be nicer to Woohyun vanished to God knows where as his bodyguard slash lover, pinned him to bed, exploring his sweet cavern with his tongue.
And Sungyeol was so turned on.
He closed his eyes shyly, flinching everytime L’s hand touched him on certain spots. L didn’t stop-and Sungyeol didn’t want him to stop either-as L took off Sungyeol’s shirt and pulling his pants down. Sungyeol who’s now completely naked sat up, his legs were spreaded, and he blushed as L stooped between his thighs, aiming for his member.
“Wait, it’s dir-ahh!”
Dirty, was what Sungyeol was trying to say, but he was soon lost in the pleasure. L’s tongue around his was giving him an unbearable sensation, and if he could beg, he would ask him to never stop. Instead, only moans were able to come out from his mouth-L was driving him insane, and he was way being too vocal.
A hand was locking L’s hair and the other was clutching the sheet tightly.
Sungyeol felt the pleasure was too much, and he could feel that he’s coming soon.
“I-I’m...”
Sungyeol threw his head back and his fingers slightly brushed L’s face, to warn him.
“S-stop, I’m-I’m coming...”
But L didn’t move. His hand teased lightly the smooth, porcelain skin, as if to urge him to come.
“M-Myungsoo!”
Sungyeol shuddered as he came and L without hesitated waited until he let it all out, before swallowing and licking what’s left of Sungyeol.
“A-ahhh!”
L wiped his mouth with the back of his hand before climbing his way back to Sungyeol’s mouth. Sungyeol, breathlessly, let himself be kissed hungrily and whimpered softly as L’s lips trailed down to his naked shoulder. He felt L took a deep breath and an arm snaked around his waist.
“L?”
“Say my name,” L mumbled. “I want to hear you saying it.”
“E-eh?”
“My name...say it.”
“Myungsoo...?”
L closed his eyes and put a hand on the back of Sungyeol’s neck. Say it again.
“Myungsoo...”
Something about the way Sungyeol said his name-his real name-soothed him. It’s like...whenever he’s in pain, all he needed was just everything about Sungyeol-the way he called his name, the way he hugged L tightly... And Sungyeol would never say L’s real name except in bed. And it somehow, made L felt very worshipped about it.
“I love you,” L said softly and pecked Sungyeol.
And that’s true.
Because he couldn’t love anyone else except Sungyeol.
***
Ever since Myungsoo was little, he was taught by his father not to use any emotions.
He remembered asking why, but he only got a simple sentence as an answer.
Emotions make you weak.
His father had told him repeatedly like a hundred times a day, at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even when they’re training. He was told that he’s born to die for protecting Kim Sunggyu-the heir of the Kim family. Especially not fear. The first training was to be left all alone at the cold storage room without light, just so that Myungsoo would be used to the darkness. At the first day he was crying, but then after the second, the third and so on...his fear of darkness started to fade. All the trainings he got as a child were too much, and it was unbearable for kid his age.
Whenever he’s alone, he would cry, he would cry and sob and gasp for air in pain, and still no one would come to him, no one would comfort him. Myungsoo even wondered why fate was being cruel. Why couldn’t he just had any happy childhood memories like other kids? Instead God gave him this pain to be this bodyguard of a stupid Kim Sunggyu.
But it turned out that Kim Sunggyu, as a child, was even older, wise, and he could tell that he was different. The moment Myungsoo saw him, he almost devoted himself to die if it was for the sake of protecting the older male. They were both raised in harsh environment, but Sunggyu was...kind. Myungsoo learnt to follow Sunggyu everywhere, and day by day his fondness grew more and more for Sunggyu.
Myungsoo was willing to sacrifice himself for Sunggyu.
From that day on, he stopped feeling things, he stopped any of his emotions. He could only feel few things: coldness and saying yes to whatever it is that Sunggyu’s saying. But he still cry sometimes. Whenever he’s alone, he would hide himself between the bushes, since the backyard was so damn big, no one would find him anyway.
By the time he was seventeen, Myungsoo was allowed to kill people. His father always brought him whenever he’s out for killing, but Myungsoo wasn’t allowed to even hold a weapon just yet. And he was taught to only kill for two options:
One. Because your master is threatened.
Two. Because your master says so.
But Myungsoo had seen so much blood. Whenever Sunggyu’s father said, “Take care of them” then it means, take good really care of them, to their bones and ashes. The first time he saw a mass killing-blood was everywhere on his face and clothes-Myungsoo sobbed so hard silently, all to himself, digging his fingers into his own skin in the middle of the night. The images kept on replaying themselves like a broken movie, the hands that were cut off, the heads that were slashed off from their necks.
Myungsoo had forgotten what it felt like to smile.
People had already labeled him the cold blooded Myungsoo, simply because he never smiled and there’s just something about the deadly aura around him that kept people away. Beside Sunggyu, Dongwoo was the only person who could stand beside him-basically because both of them had been taught the same.
When he was seventeen, Sunggyu was already twenty-enough age to be left by his father. So his father left the house, leaving everything in his hands, and Myungsoo’s father had also left, loyally following Mr. Kim to Japan. Even though there were bodyguards in the house, but Sunggyu only trusted three men the most-Myungsoo, Dongwoo, and another man called Cap.
His father left, entrusting him with a message.
Don’t use your emotions.
So Myungsoo decided, that it would be the last time, the last day for him to be silently crying. He sat on the slightly wet grass, head buried on his knees, that starting tomorrow, Myungsoo forever would be emotionless. He thought-or so he felt-he must’ve been really tired because his sense was not working, because he’s caught off guard as someone wrapped their arms around him.
Myungsoo stunned. How could he be so stupid? What if it was an intruder?
“It’s alright,” he heard the man whispered. “You can cry if you want to...”
Myungsoo suddenly was outraged and he hit the man’s stomach with the head of the sheathed katana. He quickly stood up and stepped backwards.
“Ouch!”, the man winced in pain. “That hurts, stupid!”
Myungsoo blinked before getting back to his usual self, and he gave the male a death glare. He readied himself and his hand grabbed his katana. “I’ll kill you.”
The male’s eyes widened in fear and he held up both of his hands. “W-wait! If you kill me then Sunggyu-hyung will never, ever forgive you!”
Myungsoo frowned slightly but his hand stayed still. “Who are you?”
“His cousin. I just came back from Ireland. I’ve heard that Uncle had already gone to Japan. Wait, are you his bodyguard? Dammit you’re so scary! Oh wait, I think it suits you-scary. Even though you cried but I think-waagghhh!”
The moment the taller male said the cry part, Myungsoo almost pulled out his katana.
“I-I promise it will be our secret,” the male made a peace sign, but then he seemed to realize that it was the wrong gesture, and put a hand on his chest. “I’m Sungyeol, scary guy.”
“...”
“And bring me to meet Sunggyu now! This yard is so damn big!”
L mentally sighed and shrugged.
It was a disaster to even meet this Sungyeol in the first place.
***
Sungyeol was loud.
To think that the male was a year younger than his master, and a year older than him. The house was soon filled with laughter and it somehow felt warm-it was totally different than before. Myungsoo would always find himself staring whenever Sungyeol was near, and he was surprised that Sunggyu was always smiling around him.
Sungyeol caught his eyes and Myungsoo blinked. The taller male threw him a quick smile before turning his head back to Sunggyu.
He didn’t know why he keep on staring at Sungyeol, but all he knew was, he couldn’t just take his eyes off of the older male. Maybe...maybe it was because he’s never seen such a bright, charming person. Sungyeol was so full of emotions that it...it somehow made him jealous. Myungsoo envied him, he envied Sungyeol a lot.
There was time when Sunggyu would just let him go to spend his free time, and Myungsoo usually took this opportunity to go downtown. He hated crowds, actually, but it was better than to just spend time in the big house doing nothing. Myungsoo liked to walk, even though he would earn obnoxious glances from people, especially because of his style, and his peeking katana.
Kim Sunggyu’s dog.
Myungsoo had used to the nickname, so whenever he heard people whispering he would just silence them all with his cold glare.
He took another route and the crowds were really making him sick, so he turned to an alley and stopped walking. Myungsoo brushed his hair casually and looked up. It’s gonna be dark soon. Maybe he should go home. If he didn’t go now, then it would be even more crowded later because of the after work hours.
“Yo, if it isn’t the famous Kim Myungsoo.”
Myungsoo turned his head to the voice and he stared at a bunch of thugs. They looked filthy-and dangerous, to the people who fear them-and they smelled like something rotten. The man who was talking before seemed to be their gang leader. Myungsoo just stared lazily before deciding not to pay attention and walked away.
“Leaving so soon? How about a one on one match?”
Myungsoo stopped walking.
“My name’s not important, since I’m just another trash to you,” the man shrugged. “But I’ve always, always wanted to kill you.”
Myungsoo turned around slowly and the man showed him a smirk. “...why?”
“Why? Because your father killed mine, and an eye for an eye, right?”
“Oh,” Myungsoo remained cold, and the man spat to the ground. The fight was not gonna be interesting since he’s gonna be able to finish the man in a minute. The other men laughed mockingly and he even felt sicker. “You’re not gonna even last.”
They stopped laughing and all of their hands went to their weapons.
“You knew from the start that you’re not gonna make it as soon as I pull out this beauty,” Myungsoo showed him his weapon underneath the blazer and this time, he really walked away. “Fear was all over your face.”
All of the thugs stunned in their place and as soon as Myungsoo disappeared from their sight, they breathed.
“Dammit! I really hate that arrogant face of his! I want to rip it off!”
“I hate to say this but he’s right, Boss. We’re not gonna make it once he took off that katana.”
“Well then we’re just gonna have to find his weakness, right?”
The leader heard someone was calling for Myungsoo’s name faintly and he looked around. Myungsoo was still across the road, and a slender, pretty male approached him with a smile. He stared with interest at Sungyeol before licking his lips.
“I think I have one...”
***
“Myungsoo!”
Oh no.
Myungsoo turned around lazily.
Not him now.
“I’m glad I found you! I-I almost got lost,” Sungyeol said sheepishly and scratched his head. “It’s rare to find you here! Well, are you going home? Can I go home with you?”
Myungsoo didn’t answer, he only replied with a nod and started walking.
“Hey, wait up!”
Sungyeol caught up to his pace and heaved. “Myungsoo, I said wait. Geez, I notice that you’ve never taken orders from others, but at least...umm, at least hear my wish. A wish is not an order, right?”
Myungsoo made a turn and entered a park. Sungyeol quickly followed as it was getting dark.
“Hey, I know this park! I came here once with Sunggyu when we were kids...”
Sungyeol stopped and looked around nostalgically. Myungsoo slower his pace and he also stopped. Indeed, it was Sunggyu’s favourite park, and Myungsoo had always taken this route to go home. He was surprised that Sungyeol was actually closer with Sunggyu. He thought the taller male’s just another family who wanted money. Perhaps Myungsoo was wrong.
“Hey...Myungsoo?”
Myungsoo looked at him.
“Are you...still crying?”
What kind of question is that???
“...no,” yet he answered.
“Oh,” Sungyeol played with the hem of his coat. “It’s okay, you know, to cry...”
And it’s not okay to hug a crying someone that you don’t know.
“I can’t have emotions,” Myungsoo said quietly.
Sungyeol looked surprised. “Why is that?”
“Because if I do, I will harm Sunggyu in any way.”
“S-Sunggyu?”
“I was born, live, and will die for him. So I don’t need any obstacles in my life. I will kill, only when Sunggyu is harmed. And everything he orders me, is a must to do.”
“B-but...you don’t have to be an...an emotionless doll...”
“It’s the way I want it.”
Sungyeol looked sad as he stepped closer to Myungsoo. “But...emotions are...if you can’t feel anything...it’s...sad...isn’t it?”
“No.”
Sungyeol kept on stepping closer to close the gap between them and Myungsoo, somehow just let him. Deep down inside he screamed that it was wrong. He didn’t know why or how Sungyeol did it, but everytime he was near, Myungsoo felt like all of his guards were dropped. It was like...something inside him was letting Sungyeol invaded his private space. And the nice smell Sungyeol got...really, it just made Myungsoo drunk.
“Feel this,” Sungyeol whispered and kissed Myungsoo’s lips softly. Sungyeol closed his eyes and Myungsoo’s eyes kept on opened, his sight was blur but he could see that the former was blushing. And his inside was still screaming, ‘what the hell are you doing Kim Myungsoo, he’s kissing you!’ Normally he would beat the crap out of a person who stood this close to him.
But instead, Myungsoo just let him.
Sungyeol finally realized he didn’t get any kiss back-as he pulled away and fluttered his eyes open. Myungsoo was still standing coldly in his track, and Sungyeol couldn’t read his eyes.
“Sorry,” Sungyeol mumbled and looked down. “I-it’s just...a test.”
A test?
“So you see, emotions flow through kisses,” Sungyeol expertly explained and blushed. “When you dislike someone and that person kiss you, you usually kick them away, or you slap them. On the other hand, if you like that person, you would kiss back. But you...didn’t do anything. So...I guess that makes you...”
Myungsoo blinked.
“...a really emotionless person, huh...”
To think that it’s my first kiss. Why oh why, did I decide to kiss him first? Why?
Sungyeol inwardly wailed. Myungsoo still didn’t do anything, he was just standing in front of him, looking blank as usual. Sungyeol sighed and waved his hand. “Let’s go home, Myungsoo...”
If only he knew, that Myungsoo’s heart was beating like it’s about to blow.
***
Ever since the kiss, Myungsoo found himself longing for Sungyeol.
He wouldn’t admit it, because at first he was confused about it, what was that feeling that he felt. Everytime he remembered the kiss, Myungsoo would clench his chest because it felt so...so sickeningly sweet. Sungyeol’s scent, Sungyeol’s blushing cheeks, Sungyeol’s blurry image kept on repeating in his brain.
Sungyeol’s lips...
‘Feel this.’
What was it that you wanted me to feel?
‘You are really an emotionless person after all.’
Myungsoo didn’t understand. He kept on having the feeling and it left butterflies in his stomach. His hands were trembling due to the sudden sensation he just learned. Could it be that he’s...happy?
But then his father’s words were echoing.
Don’t use your emotions.
Myungsoo didn’t understand why. It’s not like emotions are a bad thing...
One day, Sunggyu told Myungsoo that he’s dismissed for a while and he’s going to have to protect Sungyeol. Myungsoo’s eyes widened as he heard the orders, did Sunggyu think of him as incapable guard? Sunggyu chuckled and told him that it’s temporarily, until Myungsoo finally understand what was going on with him.
He thought it must’ve been because of the emotions and it was a bad thing, but as he followed Sungyeol day by day, Myungsoo was captured by the taller male’s beauty, by his kindness, by his smile... Sungyeol was somehow alike with his master, but he’s softer, and Sunggyu was tougher. Myungsoo didn’t understand what he felt anymore. All of this was new to him.
But his instinct was never wrong.
Myungsoo found himself kissing Sungyeol passionately in the latter’s room that night. Sungyeol moaned-and Myungsoo liked to hear his moan. Myungsoo hovered above Sungyeol on the bed, fingers lacing, he was definitely dominating. They kissed non stop, until both were out of breath, until Sungyeol gasped like he’s just been drowned and just found a way out of the water. Myungsoo, also panted, laid his head on Sungyeol’s chest, listening to the drums of heartbeat.
Was it even funny when Myungsoo thought it beat his name?
Myung. Soo. Myung. Soo. Myung. Soo.
“Hey...”, Sungyeol caressed Myungsoo’s cheek caringly. “Can I-can I have a confession to make?”
He got a nod as a reply.
“I think I...”
Myungsoo looked up to a flushed Sungyeol.
“I’m...I’m in love with you, Myungsoo...”
Love.
Myungsoo sat up and covered his mouth with his hand. “Love...?”
Sungyeol bit his lip shyly. “Yeah...”
So was it love that he felt?
“I...I think,” Sungyeol said. “Because I...want to be with you. And with you...only.”
Myungsoo’s eyes softened and he felt so much happiness that it almost burst out. “...really?”
“Yes...like, this lips, belong to you, Myungsoo...”
Myungsoo’s lips twitched and it slowly curved to a smile. A simple smile, but for Sungyeol, it was enough.
“I want to be with you too, Sungyeol.”
Sungyeol’s eyes widened as he gasped.
***
Myungsoo didn’t know why emotions were such a bad thing.
Emotions showed him that he’s alive, he’s breathing, and he felt amazing. Those secret glances Sungyeol threw him, the sparkling chemistry whenever Sungyeol held his hand, and especially when they kissed, it felt wonderful, like none other things would beat that down.
Emotions are...wonderful.
But maybe he was jumping too fast to conclusion.
Dongwoo ran to him that afternoon, with a disbelief look on his face. “Myungsoo. Sungyeol. He’s...”
Myungsoo despised Dongwoo’s tone. “What happened?”
“He’s-he’s been kidnapped.”
“What???”
“Someone named...I don’t even know who it was. It was merely a thug, he left a note by the fence, saying that if you wanted Sungyeol to be alive, you’re gonna have to come to the deserted warehouse on the D district-alone.”
Myungsoo gritted his teeth. “Fuck. Those thugs.” He grabbed his katana tightly and turned around. “Dongwoo, did Sunggyu know about this?”
“...yes.”
“And what did he say?”
“Take good care of your loved ones.”
“Take good...care?”, Myungsoo repeated in shock. He instantly reminded of Sunggyu’s father’s orders to his father. “B-but...”
“Snap out of it, Myungsoo!”, Dongwoo shook Myungsoo’s shoulders. “I’m coming with you. Shall I ask Cap along as well?”
“N-no... I’ll be fine by myself,” Myungsoo said. “The deserted warehouse, got it.”
He turned around and quickly jumped in the car when Dongwoo knocked on the window.
“Be careful.”
Myungsoo nodded and drove as fast as he could.
***
“Aarghhhh!”
The male slapped Sungyeol’s face hard. “Shut up!”
“It hurts!!”
Sungyeol screamed again as another male thrusted into him roughly. He was tied, with his hands above his head, and his pants were ripped off. Sungyeol cried as he felt pain all over his body, and his tears fell to his cheeks endlessly.
“P-please stop! I beg you!”
“Oh we won’t stop, pretty thing,” the male licked Sungyeol’s face and the latter flinched away in disgust. “We’re gonna do it to you all night long until that bastard Kim Myungsoo come and save your sweet ass.”
“Besides, it’s not like you hate it,” another male chuckled. “Your body was being so honest.”
“Myungsoo?”
“That’s right. Kim Myungsoo. The one you’ve been pestering.”
“Don’t hurt Myungsoo,” Sungyeol whispered and glared at all of the men. For a moment he forgot that he was feeling pain and it was soon replaced with hatred.
“I will just kill him,” the leader said. “Then I’ll kill you, too.”
“You’ll never win.”
“How do you know? He’s never killed anyone before.”
“Then you’ll be his first,” Sungyeol said with a determined look on his face.
“SUNGYEOL!!”
“He’s here already,” the leader clicked his tongue. “You really mean everything to him, huh? I didn’t even expect him to come this fast.”
“Myungsoo,” Sungyeol whispered to himself desperately.
Myungsoo kicked the door with one try and it broke to pieces. He dragged himself and his katana was already out of its place, the blade shone brightly. Myungsoo looked really angry but still calmed down. He glared at the leader before his eyes trailed to the half naked Sungyeol and the other thugs who were surrounding him.
“Get. Away. From. Him.”
Myungsoo’s tone was so cold, Sungyeol felt a chill running up his spine. The leader smirked before walking closer to him.
“Hey, relax, talk to me first-“
With a swipe, Myungsoo aimed the leader right on the belly, and he was slashed in two. It happened so quick in milliseconds that the other thugs weren’t able to do anything, and as their leader laid lifelessly on the ground, it became a pool of blood, some of the blood even spattered on Myungsoo’s face.
Now it was the thugs’ turn to scream.
“D-don’t come closer or I’ll kill-“
His head was chopped off.
Sungyeol’s eyes widened and he witnessed everything that happened in shock.
Now it was only a thug left.
“W-wait,” he tried to defend himself. “I-I only took orders from my leader, I didn’t want to do any of this, I swear!”
“Let him go,” Myungsoo quietly stated.
He untied Sungyeol quickly and stood up. “I-I promise I will not tell this to anyone, please let me go!”
Myungsoo said nothing, he stretched out a hand to Sungyeol, and the latter only stared at him, unable to move. The thug trembled in fear, and after throwing a glance to the corpses of his so-called-friends, he ran away to the door.
“I didn’t allow you to leave,” Myungsoo said and a moment later, a gunshot was heard. He closed his eyes as he knew his friends would always follow him, no matter how much he didn't want them to.
Dongwoo had taken care of the last thug.
Myungsoo realized that Sungyeol’s not gonna take his hand any moment and he took off his blazer. He knelt beside the trembling Sungyeol and put it on him. Myungsoo bit his lip as a sign that he disliked Sungyeol’s condition. He quickly pulled Sungyeol into an embrace. “I’m sorry...”
Sungyeol closed his eyes and leaned into the Myungsoo’s arms. “Eh? Why...?”
“Because of me, you’re hurt.”
“Oh...it’s-it’s okay...”
“It’s not okay. Sungyeol. Hate me now.”
Sungyeol looked confused. “W-why?”
“Because I’ve dragged you into this. Because I’m letting my emotions win, and suddenly you’re in danger. I can’t... I want you to be safe, Sungyeol.”
“I’m safe with you, Myungsoo,” Sungyeol stubbornly said and he tightened his grip to Myungsoo. “I don’t want to hate you! I-I just... Or you...you came here all the way to save me...was that...Sunggyu’s order?”
“No,” Myungsoo stated firmly. “I came here by my own will. I came here...to save the person I care the most.”
Sungyeol beamed in tears, cried and buried his head on Myungsoo’s chest. “I was so scared, Myungsoo... I was so scared... T-thank you for coming for me...”
Myungsoo looked down to Sungyeol’s exposed legs. They were bruised and bleeding. He gritted his teeth in pain, cursing himself, and stood up as he carried the latter bridal style into his arms.
I’ll never let anyone else touch you again, Sungyeol.
“Let’s go home, Sungyeol.”
***
“I’m not qualified anymore to serve you, master.”
Myungsoo had said it loud and clear with his head bowed deeply to Sunggyu.
“Call me Hyung,” Sunggyu waved his hand nonchalantly. “And why is that?”
“I’ve disobeyed your orders. And it’s a shame.”
“Hm,” Sunggyu rested his elbow on the table. “Such as?”
“You told me to ‘take good care of my loved ones’ and all I took care was the thugs... I put Sungyeol’s safety above anything else.”
Sunggyu chuckled and Myungsoo didn’t dare to look up. “Myungsoo, look at me.”
Myungsoo slowly obeyed.
“You did obey. You took care of Sungyeol, right?”
Myungsoo blinked dumbly. “B-but...”
“That’s the kind of person I need, Myungsoo,” Sunggyu said seriously in a soft tone. “I’m glad that you took Sungyeol home.”
Myungsoo opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out.
“And from now on, you’re gonna have to protect Sungyeol too.”
Sunggyu smiled and leaned forward to observe Myungsoo’s face.
“Are you okay with that?”
Myungsoo sighed in relief and bowed even deeper. “I would be honored to protect two people I love the most in my life.”
“Good. You may go out, then.”
Myungsoo closed the door slowly and brought a hand to his mouth. He couldn’t believe it. Did it really happen? He’s not imagining things, right? Sunggyu still let him stay and most of all, he’s allowed to also protect Sungyeol. He felt so happy. He felt like he could dance-even though he’s never danced before.
“L!”
Myungsoo frowned and looked to his other side, and Sungyeol was smiling at him shyly.
“L...?”
“Yeah, L. Your new nickname,” Sungyeol threw himself into Myungsoo’s arms. He winced in pain and touched his own back. “Ouch!”
“Watch it, if it’s still too painful then don’t go anywhere first,” Myungsoo frowned and pressed a hand to Sungyeol’s forehead. “Are you okay?”
“Wow, you’ve...talked a lot lately,” Sungyeol clicked his tongue in awe.
“Only for you,” Myungsoo stole a kiss from the taller male and Sungyeol grinned at him. “So...what does L stand for anyway?”
“Um...it’s a secret.”
Myungsoo raised his brows. Sungyeol cleared his throat nervously.
“You’re gonna laugh if I tell you.”
“Sungyeol...”
“Lover,” Sungyeol smiled sheepishly before looking down to his hands. “Can I call you that?”
Myungsoo blinked for a moment before spreading his lips to a fond smile. He grabbed the taller male’s chin and stared right into his eyes.
“Yeah. I’d like that.”
***
Instinctively, L opened his eyes and adjusted himself with the surrounding.
It was already dawn, and he could smell the fresh air and the sound of birds singing in the garden. L slowly sat up and glanced at the warmth beside him. His gaze immediately turned soft as he saw Sungyeol in nothing, sleeping so soundly, hugging his pillow like a child. L found himself smiling.
So innocent yet so beautiful.
He leaned down and placed a kiss on his lover’s shoulder.
Sungyeol moved a bit but he didn’t wake up. He only grunted and continued sleeping.
L caressed Sungyeol’s hair affectionately and continued to observe his object of affection. Just another routinity of his every morning. To be able to be this close with Sungyeol... Sungyeol’s his world, and he’d do anything to protect the male from harm. L had never felt so many strong emotions to anyone before. Not even for Sunggyu.
From the hair, L’s hand trailed down to the cheek and to the lips. The touch to the lips seemed to have woken Sungyeol up and the latter fluttered his eyes open.
L froze. “I’m sorry, did I wake you up?”
Sungyeol blinked his eyes, closing them before opening them again and smiled sleepily. “You’ve always woken me up...”
“You made it sound like it’s a bad thing.”
A chuckle. “Of course not,” Sungyeol stretched out his hands and cuddled closer to L. “Good morning, Love...”
L curved his lips into a smile and pulled Sungyeol even closer.
“Good morning.”

Lately L noticed-as anyone else, too in the house-that Woohyun was cheerful. But this morning, he couldn’t help but noticing that Woohyun was giggling shyly at both him and Sungyeol-especially to L. He tried not to think about it, but it seemed like he was way obvious for showing it because his frown was there.
Woohyun whispered something to Sungyeol and the latter blushed hard before sneaking a glance at him.
L’s frown got even deeper.
Sungjong, who dropped by for breakfast, also nodding in agreement at Woohyun while Sungyeol’s cheeks got even redder.
The rest of the chat was muffled. L failed to make out the sentences, but not that he really cared about gossips...
When they were done, Woohyun walked past him and gave him a smile while Sungjong just waved his hand goodbye. When both of the males disappeared, L quickly pulled Sungyeol closer and gave him a demanding look.
“W-what?”, Sungyeol stuttered and blushed.
“...are you okay?”
Sungyeol blinked and nodded. “I-I’m okay...they’re not making fun of me or something...”
“Good,” L muttered before kissing Sungyeol softly on his lips. “That’s all I need to know.”
L turned around and walked away, and Sungyeol was still standing there, dumbfounded, with a finger on his lips. His thought trailed back to what Woohyun had said before and again, he blushed slightly.
For an emotionless person, L sure is great in bed, huh?
His and Sunggyu’s room was actually far, but last night Woohyun had something to say and he went to Sungyeol’s room, but stopped as he heard unexpected moans inside. Sungyeol facepalmed shyly.
L realized that Sungyeol was not following him and he stopped. He looked over his shoulder.
“Yeollie?”
Sungyeol looked up. L smiled and stretched out a hand to him.
He’s not an emotionless person when he’s with me.
Sungyeol smiled back.
He’s, in fact, so full of them.
“Coming...”
But really, no one had to know about that.
Because his emotions...
...are for me.
End.
