In celebration? A little list of other things I think are wonderful:

1. Angel. I never actually stopped loving my dead gay show, but I certainly had an extended period of not quite wanting to watch it, read about it, or even think about it that much. Whatever that was

Oh, I absolutely agree that living life well, and insisting on joy and a future filled with possibilities is even MORE important in the face of so much misery and chaos. It's just a major disconnect to have a smile on my face from my wonderful dog walk one minute and be listening to a news story about a man in Tikrit killed while attempting to stop some insurgents from using the head of a dead teenaged girl as a bomb the next. It just doesn't fit, you know!

As for Angel. I can't begin to express how much I'm enjoying going back to these wonderful, wonderful stories after a long hiatus. The intensity of my hardcore fannish obsession has eased off, and I find I'm much more able to just sit back and treasure how fantastic the writing and acting and directing and such is. I definitely recommend it. :-)

It 100% makes sense and I completely agree. Watching a show in the company of hundreds of other equally rabid fans is an amazing experience and I still miss it sometimes, but it's also nice to have a little space. :-)

i'm glad you're so happy, kitten. sounds like lots of exciting things are happening, and that's definitely something to be joyful about. i have, myself, lately been feeling unrelentingly happy, too, after a couple of pretty cranky, miserable weeks, so maybe things will start looking up for the rest of the world pretty soon.

yay, montreal! i am so excited to come visit you there sometime. you MUST take lots of pictures after you get settled so we can see where you're living and where the dogs are playing and so on.

I'm glad you're feeling happy too, Min! Yay! Joy loves company, even more than misery does! That's awesome. I'm sorry there was an interim of miserableness that preceeded it.

I'll definitely take pictures of my new neighborhood. I still don't actually have a real digital camera (my camera phone is pretty mediocre), but I will get one before my next trip. Promise.

Darling! I hated missing you last week. It makes me heart hurt when I think about it.

However, everything else is going swimmingly. I cannot believe how awesome life is currently. It feels weird to not be worried about stuff. I'm glad your life is going just as swimmingly. Your trip sounds insane and kinda awesome.

Hey, last week I heard people in GR talking about how hot it was and I wanted to laugh in their faces and make them come to Memphis to show them what hell is like. ;-)

Oh! And yes! to your Angel/Cordy love. The first time through I was kinda meh about them. I didn't dislike the situation, but I didn't feel a great love for it either; however, I *love* them now.

It just means you'll have to plan a trip to Montreal, right? I would have loved to have seen you, but it just really wasn't the best time. I hope your show was fantastic and worth the long drive.

It is odd to *not* be stressed out and anxious, isn't it? I have a 'how can life be this good? it's not possible' moment at least once a day.

I completely hated Angel/Cordy as a ship the last time I checked. BFF? Yes. Lovers? Ewwww! But I seem to have completely changed my mind. I've been reading A/C fic and totally adoring the idea. Heee.
