I just wrote my last US$ rent cheque. I don't want to say last ever, cause I may be back someday, but last for a while at least. Coincidentally, it was the last cheque left in my chequebook. So that worked out well ( Read more... )

Meeep! That's a lot of driving. But you can do it easy peasy.

I need to send you your dvds! I am done with all but G&M and I will watch that tonight!

Man, your cake sounds so fabulous. Wow. But I can't help you with the compulsion because I have baked cakes when I thought how great a cake would be, but not simply because i had to bake a cake!

In a small car, 750 miles is only 2 full tanks of gas and 11hrs of driving - hardly any distance at all.
But the thought of driving and paying to fuel a 14ft truck loaded down with 3000lbs of possessions is a bit daunting. *meep*

Thanks for reminding me - I have to send you your book back asap. I hope you love Gods and Monsters as much as I do.

Um, I ... have no idea what to tell you.

I use CIBC for banking (always have) and Bell for my landline (always have) and Fido for my cell phone.

We have Rogers Cable.

But this is all Toronto-based.

And do you actually *recommend* any of these companies? I mean do you feel happy with Fido? Do they have awesome coverage, or great customer service, or really good rate plans or summat?

And can you download bit torrent files with Rogers? I've read that they are not fully compatible with bit torrent clients, but I'm not sure what that means.

There are really no words for how much I want to stick with my tmobile and comcast accounts and just not have to *change* anything. Sigh.

Thanks. :-)

Well, I don't NOT recommend them, but honestly I don't know anything about my service. I don't DL bittorrent, so can't say for sure what you can or can't do.

I just wanted to contribute, although I knew I didn't really have anything to say.

Hee! *squish*
I've got to just stop fretting about it and figure it out once I get there. It's just much easier to worry about internet service than it is to pack boxes. :-)

Hurrah for your move! And cake! (Perhaps the cake-baking is about moving to a new nest?... No, I got nothing.)

[hugs]

Hee. The cake baking is more likely about *avoiding* moving - if I have a fridge full of baked goods, I can hardly move away, can I? Or, some equally lame psychobabbly explanation. :-)

Ah, I see. You like *me* in Canadia, but it's alright for you to be far, far away.

*sees how it is*
