I sat up on the couch, having heard something on the front porch. I was paranoid, alone in this house, after Angelus calling me with his stupid mind games. That so wouldn't work on me, right, then why do I have a death grip on the afghan on the couch? I pull myself up and head toward the door, peaking out the little curtain thingy on the side
( ... )
I smile brightly as I hear him say I was welcome. Did that mean he took my apology? I hope so, I had missed him terribly and felt like an ass for leaving him out in the cold. I lifted my head up to him and smiled.
"I'll ... let you rest now." I stood up and moved toward him, placing a small kiss on his forehead as he sat with the cookie mid-air. "If you need anything you just holler at me, okay? I'll try to find a way to find Faith, maybe call around or something. I dunno. I'll find her." I moved toward the door and shut the overhead light off, leaving the soft glow of the bedside lamp for him. I looked him over and he looked horrible, Buffy really did a number on him.
"Sleep well, Wesley. And please, sleep." I said as I quietly pulled the door closed and leaned on it. I'm glad I apologized to him.
