Patrol Four: The Major General On Wheels

[The idea of utilizing rollerskates in battle just wouldn't leave Olivier alone. So, it isn't odd when she finds herself at the department store trying a pair on for size. Once they're purchased, she makes her way to the park.]

[Lithuania is just walking down the street, so when Olivier grabs him, he lets out a startled sound and stumbles backwards, grabbing for the nearest solid, nonhuman object to try and keep his balance.]

[She grunts as they come to a stop at the side of a building.]

Good thinking!

[Lithuania sighs a bit in relief once he's back on his feet properly. Looking over at Olivier, he notes the roller skates]

I-is this your first time with those?

[She crosses her arms once she's steady again and nods.]

Giving them a test run. They might be useful later.

I suppose they could give you a speed advantage...

[If you know how to use them, anyway...]

[She nods.]

And speed means more force in an attack.

As long as you don't fall over...

I'm sure I'll be perfectly fine after a bit more practice. And falling can't hurt if I take my opponent with me.

You seem to have it alright except for stopping.

It's the damn brakes, they don't work for shit. I need to get Fullmetal to fix them.

They probably aren't really made for combat either, right now. Fullmetal?

I doubt anyone has thought of it yet.

Oh, I don't think anyone here calls him that. He goes by Edward Elric. Short kid, long blond hair, a red coat.

I don't think I've met him. He's probably in school right now, though, if he's a child.

[She nods. Even though it is hard for her to imagine Fullmetal stuck in a class room with everything he's been through, he is of the school going age.]

I wouldn't really call him a child. He's seen more battle than most adults, but he isn't of age yet, so he would be in school.

[He can't help but frown a bit at that--it just doesn't seem fair to make a child go into battle. Then again, it wasn't as if many who were considered children now would be thought of as adults years ago.]

Mayfield doesn't seem to care much what's actually appropriate for any of us.

[This is making Olivier think of waking up in a hotel room with someone nearly half her age. She scowls ans shakes her head.]

No, they don't.
