It has been a while since I posted as we have had exams, an 18th birthday, visits from family, the delights of a long form for ESA ( cheerful stuff, listing all the things you can't do so the government will continue to pay disability benefit, followed by a wait to see if I need to drag myself to an assessment for work), a slew of dentist visits

You should have bought the hat - go on, embrace crazy English eccentricim and sat up in bed wearing an awesome hat. Let it say 'I may have ME and be bedbound at times but I have a jolly nice hat and I will wear it!'. I have been known to wear the odd beanie in bed and about the house, but that was winter, and I have very short hair and couldn't afford the heating on, which doesn't say the same thing at all. BK has taken to wearing hats all the time though.

If it had been the right size I would have bought the hat and, being cerise pink with a big brim, it would have been brilliantly eccentric indoors, but it was in danger of covering my eyes and that just looks like a little girl playing dressing up.
It matched the trim on a pair of white sandals I have had for years but only worn once and which are the only pair of shoes I have ever bought for purely aesthetic value.
Hope things have settled down for you and you have had time to rest before BK's next performance.
