If I were you I'd go to my dentist in Söderhamn and ask for the records, along with several of your x-rays, and when you move to Stockholm you bring that along with you: it'll negate the need to pay for a complete check-up, and usually getting copies of your records is free of charge. You could always ask your dental office if they've got contact with folktandvården in Stockholm, usually that's the case and they can transfer the files between eachother.
The important thing to know is that you don't have to register yourself to the dental offices, it won't lessen what they charge you when you go anyway, and since I know that you're very rigorous with your dental hygene, if you just ask for a check-up appointment every ten months you should be fine, and they won't even need to charge you for their "reminder" letters and all that jazz. But, yeah. Get copies of your record and x-rays, and bring them along, and things'll turn out just fine.
