Off to New York City in a bit with my family. Were staying at the Waldorf Astoria which is rather posh and exciting. I've walked through there before and saw this absolutely massive display of flowers in a vase. I'm sure there are chandeliers and all that fancy crap, and I'm going to see my friends, who I met on summer trips and love and haven't ( Read more... )

Oooh, NYC. That is one of the main cities I've never been to that I would love to visit. Being from California originally, I've seen Los Angeles waaay too many times for it to be interesting anymore, but it'd be fun to see that other city that's in just about every movie or television show. :P I want to see all the touristy things, haha. Hope you have fun!

Doctor Who is a fandom that I think I'd place among my favorites if I ever got around to watching it (I've only seen two or three episodes from the 2005 series, but I really enjoyed them.) Too many popular series, too little time...

You have to go to New York City before you die. Like, you're not allowed to die if you haven't seen the city that never sleeps. It was really fun, we had all sorts of adventures but it was so crowded! I'm from this tiny little town so the city is sooo overwhelming - amazing, but overwhelming.

California is such a cool place too...I'm such a hippie that I'd love to go to San Francisco and see Haight Ashbury and wear flowers in my hair ;) and I've only been there ONCE, when I was really little, so I totally don't remember it at all which is unforgivable. We should switch lives for a little bit and go to each others cities! :)

And Doctor Who is such great fun - but I know what you mean. There are so many things that I just know I would love if I got into them but there's not enough TIME!!!

Oh, I intend to go there eventually. It's a much more convenient potential vacation spot now that I live more or less on that side of the country (Tennessee). Still a little too far to easily drive there, but hopefully a flight would be cheaper than from CA.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid switching lives at this point wouldn't get you any closer to California cities! I rarely get to go there anymore. But San Francisco is indeed great fun, so you should totally go if you get the chance. It's one of my favorite places in the state, though I've only been there twice.

Haha, so we won't switch lives then, cos I don't fancy being in Tennessee all that much. It is rather far from California. But if you ever get to the city, tell me, and I'll finally get to meet someone who likes Hanson! I know no Hanson fans, and its really sad. :(
