Vampire Weekend is holiday music. Deal with it.

There is another two hours left for Christmas Day here in Las Vegas; I might as well chime in with the annual Happy Christmas tradition, so here you go. Happy Christmas. I had a rather fantastic time sitting here at home. There was moments I felt emotionally numb, but that was expected to be quite honest. I'll get into that later or probs never ( Read more... )

STETSONS are cool.

Of course, Doctor.

G-d damn I did love this episode, however. It was wonderfully spirited, and still odd for the show.

YES to Matt in a Stetson! Although him with a scruffy beard... IDK IF WANT.

The special was super adorable and entertaining all around, even though it got kinda too ~schmaltzy for my tastes in some parts. And how hot was teenage Kazran, y/y?

I was like, he shouldn't be so hot in that ridic hat, because I hate Stetsons. But, I admit, he was hot.

AND YES omg. I got so stuck on teenage Kazran whenever he was onscreen. I can't.

PERFECTION. That's really all I can say still. This was so wonderful, Crystal, and everything I wanted it to be (although, everything needs moar Amy Pond, fandom can get the fuck out). Moffat was definitely right about it being a Christmas-y Christmas special. It was nice, to be honest, like having a proper Christmas episode for once, which is something I haven't felt from this show in years. God, ever since Moffat took over, I have seriously have had hearts in my eyes. HEARTS IN MY EYES. This episode had the Doctor giving a snowman an eskimo kiss. How am I supposed to hate that? I just can't.

I was sort of shocked how little Amy (and Rory) was in the special. I enjoyed it nevertheless, because omg Christmas, but I missed her a lot. With that said, you are so right, Kalie. Moffat turned Doctor Who into something it always should've been, and it gives me warm fuzzy feelings, and I hope we have this team for awhile. I cannot wait for series six. Why is April so far way?

I was expecting it, to be honest, because they were featured in very little of the promotional material and the early reviews I had read beforehand (lol, nerd) basically said they don't do much and get very little screentime. Still, the episode was wonderful enough on its own, even if I wish they were incorporated more (I have a feeling this will be their first and last Christmas special). I always miss Amy and her magical ginger locks gracing my screen.

April feels so ridiculously far. Series six looks marvelous and I'm about 90% sure the trailer only showed bits from the first four or five episodes. I'm still a little disappointed that they're splitting the series in two, but oh well. I can deal with it.

After the first two press releases, I read very little news about the Christmas special as my views to certain LJ communities sort of slowly stopped. It really was. I cannot wait to watch it on my television set later this week. My sisters hogged the telly for most of the day, so I didn't have the chance to watch it on BBC America like I wanted too. #kanyeshrug. But ja I wouldn't be surprised if Amy's last series will be this one. I'll be okay with it as long as we get a satisfying and rather happy ending with her story. I won't be able to take another sad ending for yet another companion.

I am upset as well, but mhm hopefully it makes a good style choice. I'll be pissed if the cliffhanger Moffat leaves us with is extremely weak tho.
