For the past two months, I've been working on the same Doctor Who picspam. You would think coming up with my five episodes would be a piece of cake, but my mind just refuses to list. I'll watch an episode then want to replace one episode with that one. Or I'll think "Maybe I don't like this episode as much as I believe I do." But finally-happily-I ( Read more... )

Love your choices! Surprisingly, I found myself agreeing that The Sound of Drums was better than Blink--something I'd never thought about since Blink's my favorite episode, but Simm is just too good.

Midnight is the only one I disagree with. I used to love it until I watched it on big-ass TV screen and HD when it aired on BBC America a few weeks ago. What I'd thought were lovely subtleties looked overdone and in-your-face, to the point that when the episode was done, I was feeling really anti-Ten and anti-DW, which I thought would never happen.

For all we know, we are still waiting for the BEST EPISODE YET™.
Matt Smith claimed that ep13 of Season 5 is his favorite episode ever (overtaking Blink), so maybe the best really is yet to come!

Okay so I just very recently got into this fandom but I have to say that this picspam is freaking amazing!! I literally gasped in awe when I saw it. Great job and have to agree with you when you said it was really hard to narrow down your favorite episodes. They're all great in one way or another.

WELCOME TO THE WHO FANDOM! It's the most fun yet maddest fandom I've ever been in. I love it. And thank you so much for the wonderful compliment. I had to battle Photoshop for a good portion of making these picspams. Urgh.

But yes I'm absolutely terrible with lists. I originally planned on doing ten to make it "easier" on myself. However I quickly realize that meant I would've had to do 11 spams (because y'know honorable mentions~)

I've only seen 3 and 1 on your list, as I've watched quite out of order and I'm rewatching from the beginning-- I'm currently watching Daleks in Mahattan-- but I'm looking forward to Blink soonish!

Oooh, Midnight. The first episode of Doctor Who I ever saw. Caught it randomly on SciFi Channel, and I was not disappointed. Still one of my favorite episodes.
Sound of Drums is pretty epic as well (I tend to refer to that whole 3-parter as "The Sound of Drums Story", even though most people call it otherwise). Simm was rather awesome as the Master, and I'm really curious as to who's gonna play him next (Since I think the Time Lords whooped his butt pretty hard at the end of EoT)
Parting of the ways is great too...there's actually not an episode of Nine that I dislike, really. I'm particularly fond of Boom Town, just cuz of the Doc/Jack/Rose/Mickey dynamic. ("You think you're all so clever, don't you?" "Yup!")

I actually haven't seen the Unicorn and the Wasp yet though...*goes to watch*
