I am Imagining a Dark-lit Place, or Your Place or My Place [Lust]

The chemical stink of the second decontamination room - finally, out of that idyllic hellhole! - stung in Ash's nose until Sloth and those stupid poppies. The trek through there had been uneventful aside from the downpour, which was when Ash discovered he gets unusually angry when he's rained on. Still, he and Sam made it through ( Read more... )

Diligence came in handy in Sloth. Or maybe it was just that Sam was stubborn enough not to stop when he really wanted to. And the poppies reminded him of the Wizard of Oz.

The rain was fucking annoying, though.

Sam flips his hair out of his eyes as they reach the sea town, looking around. Like Ash, he gets fleeting glimpses as well. Jessica. Madison. Various girls and guys that he's known over the years.

Dean.

He shakes himself, turning to focus on Ash. Safer. A lot safer. Maybe. "I don't think we're going to need a crown for you yet."

Despite the fact that Ash hasn't slept in days, he'd kept telling himself he'd sleep when he was home. 'Or when I'm dead' had been too morbid for his tastes.
As for the poppies, he'd seriously considered grabbing a few to take to his dad.

Ash runs a hand through his hair to get the remainders of the oily rain out and flashes a short smile. "I'm so glad; I'd look terrible in a dress."
That only serves to remind him that Thomas thinks he looks fantastic in a kilt. There has to be something better that he could focus on... except somehow his train of thought keeps slipping into the gutter.
"Well, at least we're out of the rain."

There's not much around to focus on. There's the town and its inhabitants and there's Ash.

Not that Sam minds focusing on Ash, of course. In fact, Ash is very easy to focus on. Maybe too easy.

"True. Though by the end of this, the rain might be preferable." Sam scratches the back of his neck, glancing to the other man. "This would be a bad time to mention I sort of have a weakness for blondes, wouldn't it?"

And the town isn't something that's pleasant to focus on, no. Focusing on Sam is the much better alternative.

"Eh. 'Better horny than depressed', my relatives would probably say." Ash looks back over to him and smiles just a little, a light blush rising on his cheeks. "Well, I'd have to confess I have a thing for brunettes, then." He pinches the bridge of his nose after saying that. C'mon Ash, it's the place that's doing this. Even if Sam is really rather attractive.
