Because yes, there's a Changeling here too, green and black standing out against the pervasive blue of the environment despite his efforts to curl up as small as possible against the trunk of that tree. Really, he's just fine, he and his tree here, where it's nice and quiet and peaceful, and there are no zombies or parasites or anything else to worry about.
If he notices Phoenix passing by, he doesn't react at all, let alone try to greet him - maybe he's asleep, it's a little hard to tell without getting closer.

"Changeling? You're here too?" he asks, approaching him. Those oranges look fantastic -- except, well, there's that whole "fear of heights" that's usually present when he's not entranced by some outside effect.

He frowns. Something's definitely off about Changeling, and he has a nasty suspicion he knows at least part of what's causing it. "Maybe it's just me, but I don't think this is a really good place to rest," he notes, admitting mentally that it's definitely tempting to do so. ("Must be sloth," he thinks to himself.)
