yesss, I was so happy with this episode (although significantly less pleased that it really means there's no more of it). Something I'd been screaming at the TV every week was "HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF COMPROMISE" but it felt like a really satisfying way for them to live their lives and grow together, whether literally or not, & afjsljflks i am just enamoured with this drama it makes me lose what little coherency i had. I'm totally like you, shows that explore relationships and navigate them well, especially family ones... they really strike me to the core. And Aiba was uh ma zing in this episode especially. SIGH

Yeah, I got used to being excited for Fridays. *o* Really, I was trying to hold off on watching this so I could watch it in the plane going home, but it's probably a good thing that I didn't 'cause I'd be CRYING EVERYWHERE. Hahah. Yeah, about the whole compromise thing, I think it about every drama - but really, you have to consider that even in real life, people don't make compromises even though they could - sometimes it just turns out that you don't see what's right in front of you, or aren't willing to do it, so I let it go. But really, it was so positive and amazing - first Masamune was willing to give up his dream (this is actually relevant to the paper about male gender in contemporary Japan that I'm writing right now, kekeke), and then Koharu was willing to give him up so he could achieve his dream. I was like WAUIDHGJHRGJ which I'm sure you've got the point of already. XD;; GOD ANYWAY. I LOVED THIS. /ESSAY

I hope subs for this come out soon so I can blather with more people about it. *A***
