I know. The funny thing is - today these words are often used in the wedding vow, from groom to bride. No one thinks about how they were originally said from one woman to another. Naomi might have been Ruth's mother-in-law, but that does not change that Ruth's book all over has one of the most gripping stories of affection between women - not only in the Bible, but in world literature as a whole.

So who said the Bible wasn't gay? ;)
