God Damn The Empty Trash Function!

Apparently, I cleared all preferences in my computer in one fell swoop.  One fell-frikking-swoop.  My hotkey preferences are gone, the AppleImages folder is gone, anything and everything that wasn't a file or a program is gone.  Starting from scratch.

You have no idea how frustrating this is.  I need to start checking my trash before I empty it.
