Clothes and Christmas!

Dec 26, 2006 11:05

I'm chasing a pair of shorts in the same style as this, except sold in Australia and different colour/pattern/whatever. Any ideas on where I could look?

Also, my taste in clothing seems to have changed. Yeah, this skirt really isn't that much of a surprise. You could dress it up for work, but also with a cute tee and ballet flats it'd be okay for ( Read more... )

THe pants... hmmm, the girl I met at the party yesterday had similar ones, she said she got them at GENERAL PANTS CO. (yeah we were talking about clothes o_O)

Also, the boy that I nanny, he says "nooooice" all the damn time. Like with a really long o and he seems to throw an a in there somewhere too. Huh.

Ahahaha, 'naioce' is a bit of a gag thing. There's a show called Kath and Kim and the two main characters always mispronounce words and do all sorts of craqzy things - Naioce being one of the most common ones.

General Pants Co tends to be a little overpriced but I'll have a look for sure :D

For those shorts all I can suggest is Supre.. I saw a manekin with something similar at Indro. Or in similar vein try Dotti or Valley Girl or even slut central Ice.

I'm thinking Myer might have it. I refuse to shop at Supre or Ice because the quality and styling is crap, but Valley Girl/Temt might have something. Or even Jeans West/Just Jeans... I foresee a shopping trip on the horizon.

I did buy a really awesome corset at Ice once though...

Man, I love valley Girl, its my not-so-secret guilty pleasure. Just Jeans and Jeans West have gotten so crap these days *le sigh*

You might grab a bargain at the sales!!

Um. I love Just Jeans and Jeans West. They've improved dramatically, I love all the dresses and cute tops they've had recently, it's been great after they did that faux emo/goth styling last year.

(Remember how we've got totally different tastes? This is one of those instances where it comes into play >.>)

...I should have never given you the link to the Forever 21 stuff. But if it makes you feel better, I see cute stuff on the online site all the time, then I go to the store and it's filled with crap and I'm all, "Where's the cute stuff!?!?" So even if you had a Forever 21 there, you may still have a hard time finding the stuff you want. :P However, I shall keep an eye out for the items of clothing you linked and if I see one, I shall buy it. No garuntees because, like I said, our store is crap. :P

I'm not checking the site obsessively, I SWEAR. But see, one of the bratty cousins was showing off some shorts that her twin had bought her from Old Navy from the states and bitching about how they didn't fit her, etc. And I was eyeing them off and they were pretty hot, so I checked out the Old Navy site and got nada, and then Jeans West (which is my home-away-from-home) and got nada, and then Forever 21 and found the cut I wanted. So yes.

And see, the thing is, do you remember that green dress? I saw someone over here wearing it and they bought it from Myer. I meant to go and look but couldn't get into the city, but some of their stuff does get sold here. So, it's not as counter-productive as it might sound. Maybe >.> But still, if you could keep an eye out I would snuggle you forever.

So, moving on and away from my clothing obsession. How was Christmas?

Well I'm glad some of their stuff gets sold over there. When I rule the world, every country shall have a Forever 21!

Christmas was good! At work, people kept opening the door, poking their heads in and asking, "You guys open?" and Lorna would reply with, "No, Erin and I just like standing behind the counter, in our uniforms on Christmas day!" ♥ Lorna.

And my sister Michelle took forever unwrapping her presents. We were all finished and were watching her for a grand 15 minutes. And my siblings have never heard of the bands of the CDs that I burned for them. And then I went to Mariah's and OMG, her younger brothers are like, a foot taller! Next year, they'll probably be taller than us and Mariah and I will have tiny mental breakdowns.

And today is the gift exchange at Jolanda's!
