Alarm clock

Computers x 2

Now, we here in Queensland don't have daylight saving. Although there are plans afoot to have trials with a zone from Brisbane to Noosa on daylight saving whilst the rest of us are on regular time or something like that. Personally I blame silly ideas like this on all the blasted old fogies Southerners who have infested us moved up here. I mean, really, we get enough bloody sunlight up here it's not like we need more. Plus it's too much of a hassle to change everything over.

My beef with it is that after three referendums in thirty years with each result being a 'no' to daylight savings, the government has decided to do it anyway - a 'trial' of three years and then another referendum! Obviously they know what is best for us better than we do. :\

Of course they know what's best - they're the government. Useless bastards the lot of them.

You know I wish that they would "trial" something useful for a change, like recycled water for major towns and cities, rather than build whopping great big dams that won't solve water problems anyway. Which is what they're doing over here. They're going to dam some of the best farmland in south east Qld just so that Brisbane can have more water for their swimming pools.
