-> Your media exposure and community services only showed the serious and intellectual side of you. Naturally, it is understandable that people are in awe and afraid to approach you. I guess it is up to you to take the first step and put people at ease, to show them that you are just a funny down-to-earth kampong guy who is just at ease with the ah bengs as well as the elite. :)

hi hi...you know me. I am full of nonsense...funny most of the time and only serious at work. At times, I am shy to approach people I do not know. However, the moment someone talks to me, they will realise that there is nothing magical....just another Joe.

-> That's the problem. You are so vocal in public, it is hard to imagine you being shy around people. So, you really have to take the first step. I am sure people will warm to you fairly quickly once you opened the gate for them. :)
