I've never even played Metal Gear Solid, in any of its incarnations, but Otacon and Snake are now forever enshrined in my mind as "the homosocial Wash and Zoe."

For a second I read that a "homicidal Wash and Zoe".
What has caused you to think this way?

Superficial things - one of them's a rather adorkable non-action guy (although his things are anime and techy stuff, not plastic dinosaurs and piloting), and the other one's a badass, and they become really close eventually.
