I'm not certain the desserts I know are available in every world. Are you looking for a recipe or trying something new?

Well, I would be interested in learning about desserts from other worlds. I am looking for something new to try.

Something complicated or simple?

I don't really have a preference. I'm up for any challenge!

There's always dango, if you've heard of it! Cake's likely the safer way to go, though. . . sponge cake? black forest cake?

Dango? What is that? Well, a number have recommended strawberry shortcake.

Strawberry shortcake's really good! It's the season for strawberries as well, isn't it?

Ahh, dango is a kind of-dumpling, I suppose. They're probably simpler than cake.

I suppose it is.

A type of dumpling... what's in it usually?

A particular kind of flour, I think. They don't have filling, but people often put sauce on them.

Just flour...? [that doesn't really sound to appetizing] What sort of sauce?

Mm! They use it to make dough, which they roll into little balls. It's much better than it sounds. And the sauce is sweetened soy, I think.

Flour dough and sweetened soy sauce... [still sounds a little iffy to him...] Is it a popular dessert where you're from, Allen?

Only in certain parts. Not everyone has heard of it.

We might be going at this the wrong way.

But it's something you like?

Yes, it does seem so... perhaps if I actually had a chance to see and try the real thing I would understand it better.

[ Wait. Wait! ]

That isn't what I meant! If we're looking for something new for you to make, probably we ought to start with what you like.
