Frustration and rage

Whether or not MG gets my item here in time before winter break, I am going to leave a shit review for them. The quality of the OP had better be *~exquisite~* to make up for the fact that I had such shitty customer service and had to wait so long to be communicated with. I am so angry and frustrated that my head is going to explode. I just got an ( Read more... )

There's just too much stress that goes along with trying to appease the whims of every American lolita too big, poor, or few resources for brand. As a result, you get fuckery like this where people are waiting for 3+ months for their shit.

THIS. I agree so much. D:

BTW what are the max measurements for the real OP? It's a cute dress but IMHO too much lace for my taste. D:

Once I tried on a btssb dress that I thought could stand my waist if I sucked it in a little, but then I couldn't zip it up without help D:

If I want independence, I need my looser clothes.

I agree with everything you said about this. I admire your patience despite the wait time for you as well. Thanks, Shelley. I might take you up on that offer :)

I don't even think they should be running a shopping service. They should be sticking to goods that they already have on the store front and working on their brand name.

This is actually what we're doing. We haven't put up any ads or updates since the Secret Shop orders were straightened out.

... thing is, manufacturers are slow as shit, and we keep getting orders anyway. Since we sort of need the revenue to keep developing products, we have been taking them in little doses. They've slackened off. But. Well. =/

What do you mean, needing the revenue to develop new products? I'm not being hostile, I'm genuinely curious. Seems to me like MG already has a sweet deal "developing products" what with the cheapness of China's labor and getting to probe the market through egl for free.

I was also under the impression that Val, Chi, and Katherine were designing and making stuff for free until their work sells, and even then how much they get paid is on a comissioned basis.

What we're doing is pretty much separate from MG. I will be handling the orders, there will probably be much less of them, since we're only doing one dress at a time, and we will have a set ordering period for each dress. Katherine, Chi, Christy, Fei, and I have all invested money into the business in order to produce the prototypes and so on.

If we are not satisfied with the quality of this manufacturer, we will probably hunt around for a new one. I really don't want to be making subpar clothes.
Our design should be for presale in a month or so.

I don't think MG wants to be doing business like this, I think they just got overwhelmed and that was coupled with the tailors becoming shoddy and slow. Personally, maybe Fei should hire another person to work with Kate on communicating with customers, because I imagine that's a lot of work.

The research on what people want and like is free, sure, but getting the first prototypes made is not. We did the Lucky Miki projects so that the first batch of dresses would cover the cost of prototyping, so Fei wouldn't have to. Commissioning a dress also pretty much covers the cost of the prototype, with the end result being that we don't make much profit, but gain a new dress that we can add to our inventory for sales later.

Each prototype costs about 30-60 bucks to make, which is cheap compared to what a tailor here would charge for the service, but is still money that we do have to spend. We tend to go through at least three prototypes before the product ends up meeting our standards, which means it costs us around 120 dollars to produce a final dress ( ... )

I hope you get it soon.

And your last point, about loving something 100%... I think that's a really good philosophy.

If I want to ship something to you soon, should I send it to your dorm address or to your home address? Because if you're leaving your dorm soon, can you PM me your home address so I can send you something?

Yeah, it'd be better to send it to my home address. I'm only in the dorms another week. I'll PM you.
