Aww suit and tie? Really? Sweet LOL! I just love him and am glad you went along. I think orchestration would definitely suit Sufjan :)

Yeah, he was adorable. He said, "I don't usually play in a suit and tie. I feel really special!"

The orchestration was just... gigantic. I wish you could have heard the gorgeous arrangement of "Sleeping Bear, Sault Ste. Marie".

Oh, I'm jealous. I've been listening to him a lot lately, especially The Avalanche (outtakes from Illinoise, really beautiful). I'm glad you had a nice time.
