I thought 17 sounded like the start of The Light Pours Out of Me, but it's not quite the same...

6 is still bugging me. Is it Carter USM?

And is there a third NMA track here, as Sarah suggested? If there was, I thought I would have recognized it...

This is the best I can do. It does seem pretty 80s-tastic.

1 Thin Lizzy. No idea why I think this, I've never heard anything by them except Whiskey in the Jar.

8 Sounds like it could be The Smiths.
9 Thought at first this was Iggy Pop, Lust for life, but not sure.

3, 8, 12, 15, 16 (who??) 17 (philistine!), 20 (dunno what S P sound like), 21 (you're probably seen / know them) - no.

I don't think you've been so far from being right on any intro quiz I've done before!

This is 16, big hit in 1980 and was on TOTP - I believe has also been covered by Atilla the Stockbroker :-P I remember it because it's so catchy and also a football song.
