I've installed a version of Dragon on my computer. Its accuracy level is pretty damn high. I'm using a blue Snowball microphone, and I think this is the right choice because it lets me freely kind of move around this I might have to pick up the blue microphone by Sedo that's that's all right I prefer this over wearing a headset because headsets are ( Read more... )

Is the next step plugging something into your brain and having the words come out that way?

I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday! I kind of hope so. Voice-to-text is a pain in the ass. I hate having to say "new paragraph open quote blah blah blah comma close quote she said period" whenever a new person talks. And I keep on having to train the program to recognize special vocab like "hm?" and Japanese names and any magical whatsit I might be writing about. I'm sure it's worth it if you can get it going, but the initial setup and training is painful and slow. It's easiest to use it for long bland paragraphs tbh. I might try it at work.
