but this is the new trailer for the new S5 of Merlin (warning, there are spoilers ahead):

I just have one question: Why on earth doesn't Merlin sit at the round table??? Why does he stand there, all alone on the sidelines like some used rag??? How come Gwen (God I hate her!) gets to sit at Arthur's side(!) and Merlin doesn't get it? What the hell ( Read more... )

ah yeah, tumblr has been all over that! Someone suggested that Arthur may be about to ask Merlin to sit down. And god damnit, I hope so, or I will get my rage on. Some people were like 'omg a servant can't sit at the round table' but in the universe they've created in Merlin that doesn't even make sense. People in Camelot would be pissed about a servant sitting at the round table, not about a servant becoming their queen? LOL okay. (I wouldn't even doubt it if they make this inconsistency canon, though, to be honest)

Also, the people of Camelot can go and fuck themselves if they have a problem with that!

I'm all angry about the fact that we see Old Man Emrys in the trailer, too. Means no magic reveal. A-friggin-gain. So help me, if they don't make a motion toward it this season, I will bitchsmack a writer.

I don't think there will be a reveal this season... They plan on a six one, I don't remember where but I saw Colin somewhere saying that not only do they want a S6 but they need it as well! Spoiler much?

I HOPE they have a 6th season. If they don't, I know what what will happen. It's all so very frustrating. Let's have Merlin do magic, so we can enjoy the dynamics of what happens when Arthur finds out. Let's not have a magic reveal and then, I dunno, SKIP 3 years again and have things be all hunky-dory with no explanation.

I dunno. I'm bitter. LOL

I hear you dear... In the end we will have a magic reveal at the final battle with Morgana and Mordred and Arthur will be all like: "You lied to me all this years??? Oh well, I'm dying as it is, I forgive you Merlin- drops dead" and that will be it.

Merlin, being an immortal will go on and have fun with the rest of Albion.

And that will be what the movie is about: The adventures of MERLIN- like the show should have been.

Unfortunately from the trailer it does seem like this is the diraction it's heading to... *at least regarding Merlin's clothes ;)* Merlin using his Emrys disguise shows that Arthur has no idea what so ever about his magic and that chair is empty. Plus, even if Merlin does get to sit at the round table this trailer shows that he will be seated AFTER Gwen! How come that bitch gets to sit at Arthur's right hand and not Merlin???

Blah! I fucking hate her! I hope Morgana will get her plan and get rid of her on the first attempt! And of course we will have a time skip, how on earth they will get Mordred as a knight of Camelot otherwise?

UGH! This so much! I'm about to watch the trailer but I had to comment first. I really don't want to be that person that doesn't like a girl becuase she's in the way of my slash... but I really don't like her! I mean she was okay in the beginning but somewhere along the line it went wrong. I'm either completely bored or annoyed by her when she's on the screen :/

Plus knowing the myth, it's hard to get behind a relationship that is doomed to fail. And Merlin/Arthur have much better on screen charisma together! I just can't get behind Arthur/Gwen and I'm sure I wouldn't be able to even if I didn't ship Merlin/Arthur!

It's more than okay to be that person who hates her because she is in our happily ever after slash ending but, you are right, her character is so empty it hurts my eyes every time she is on screen. I'm sure Angle is adorable as a person but I just can't stand her when she is Gwen, the interaction between her and Arthur on screen is pointless and dull, it's got nothing of the spirit and charisma Merlin has ( ... )
