[It's been a while since Lyon has had to actively worry about anything terrible happening to herself, the Prince, or any of her housemates or other friends from home.  The months leading up to October haven't been quite as rife with the usual death and terror - or at least, not as much of it.  So even though she's still checking up on the Prince

A-ah...I'm sorry! I was just teasin' you and uah...guess I went too far.

Sorry.

[float_like_a]

...It's okay. I'll still let you have a slice of my pie.

[And speaking of which...]

Oh! It should be ready to come out of the oven now!

[Lyon goes over to get the oven mitts, retrieving the pie and setting it on top of the stovetop to cool.]

[The sad face. It gets him every time.] Hurray! It smells really good.

[float_like_a]

[Lyon heads over to the fridge next to pour some milk to go along with the pie.]

Now all we have to do is wait for it to cool down.

Exactly. I'll get some napkins out too.

[Well, setting the table took a good... minute or so. Nine to go!]

I gotta ask, the pretzel hair. Is that some regulation hair style or something? [He's not teasing, he is genuinely curious]

It's more just to keep it from getting in the way during a fight. Miakis showed me how when I was training. I could never get it to look quite like hers, but I did like the way it looked.

Then why not just cut it short? They're kinda like handles....

I've never really thought about it that much...

[Lyon takes one of her pigtails in her hand, rolling it through her fingers thoughtfully.]

Is there a different hairstyle you think I'd look better in?

[weiss_tank]

[Ken looks at her for a moment] Ya know, I can't really imagine you with different hair.

[float_like_a]

I can't either. I've worn it like this for years.

[weiss_tank]

Mmm, maybe you should try it loose like Lym or in braids?

[float_like_a]

Hmm... maybe. I've never really worn it like that before. I wonder if it would get in the way.
