Lyon?

[As Lyon stares at the little bottle in her hands, not!momma comes up behind her, frowning worriedly. Miakis recognizes the edge in her voice, and she doesn't like it, no sir.]

Is something wrong?

Miakis!

[Lyon fumbles to hide the bottle, shoving it back into the package with the other two doses.]

N-no, nothing's wrong.

[Flat look.]

Lyoooon... I know you're probably not very happy with me right now, but you're still a bad liar~ What's in the box?

All right... here.

[Not wanting to deal with getting grilled about this, Lyon sighs and opens up the box for Miakis to see. The combat drug inside should look pretty familiar, given the number of people they had to fight who used Raging Nostrum.]

What if you had something that would let you beat any opponent, but you'd die as soon as its effects wore off? Like... a magic potion?

Depends. Are we talking as if death's permanent or temporary like it is here?

Does the answer change depending on which one I'm talking about? I've just been thinking... if death is meaningless here, is there even a point in trying? Even if you sacrifice yourself to save someone, even if you fail to protect them... you'll both just be back the next day anyway.

I'd do anything I could, of course. Why? Is something the matter, Lyon?

...No, not really.

...You wouldn't be lying to me, would you, Lyon? Is this about your Prince?

[If it doesn't take a genius to figure out, Lilly certainly can.]

[He's been trying to keep his distance from not!sister so he doesn't make her uncomfortable. But he was just getting his own package from the doorstep when he notices her shocked expression.]

Lyon? Are you okay?

Oh, Omi!

[Lyon hastily shoves the vial back into the package and nods, plastering on her best 'I'm totally fine' smile.]

Y-yes, I'm fine.

Oh, okay.

[So she got something unpleasant in the mail.... Well, he shouldn't pressure her.]

So, what were you planning to do today?

I was thinking of visiting the Prince.

[And staying at his house for a few days, but she doesn't want to say that part.]
