Why is it so easy to talk oneself out of fixing a medical problem when you feel it coming on? I get migraines when I skip a meal, and I actually get about a 60 minute window where I can feel it coming, and all I have to do is eat something with a low glycemic index, and the migraine will just evaporate. I'd say I manage to do that one time out of four, the other times there's some reason I can't eat just yet and then I spend the rest of the day in pain.
I wish I knew! And ooh that's actually a good migraine cure.
It is possible that I find it easier to cure migraines because I am disgustingly addicted to coffee, and it can form part of my cure. :) (Excedrin is simpler, but coffee is delicious.)
So I am going to say it to you: EAT something. Actually, keep an emergency snack in your drawer/pocket/whatever. Nuts keep almost indefinitely and if they're salted... well I find salt helps my migraines for whatever reason.
