Enfleurage

I noticed my jasmine vines (Jasminum polyanthum, not true jasmine) exploding with blossoms, so I decided to try a bit of everyman enfleurage. Since I'm not doing this the hard way*, this is an incredibly easy method of extracting delicate essential oils; jasmine in particular is notorious for requiring this comparatively fussy method of extraction

I did a variation on the first method with rose petals when I was a kid, using an eyedropper instead of a feather. Painstaking indeed. It was a hell of a lot of work for a matter of drops.
