Aha, well - herein lies the mixture of canon/ATBB world...

As much as I love this story (which is lots, and enough to read it more than once, obviously), this was one bit that didn't entirely work for me. Yes, I understand Katie's distress over her premature menopause, but I really can't follow her logic in thinking Naomi would leave her over this issue. It's hard for me to see how "I can't bear children" would ever be a deal-breaker for a female partner, who presumably could just respond "if we decide we want them, I can bear them." It's almost as if Katie's still in the mindset of someone who IS dating a bloke, which doesn't ring true in the context of her relationship with Naomi, which, as least in the context of two teenagers, has been going on for quite some time.

Thank you, man. That's basically the way I see Naomily love.

Thanks sweetheart!

I sort of want Naomi to stay with Katie. And I want her to stay with Emily too... WHY DID I WRITE THIS STORY?! ;)

Of course, I can say nothing about twists either way... Let's just see what you think after the second part.

I'm going to be really presumptuous here expatbeth April 20 2011, 12:34:07 UTC
and say I don't believe you when you say you want the Naomi of THIS story to stay with Katie, even "sort of". It's obvious that you adore Katie (as do I), which is precisely why you would never, ever want her to settle for someone who does care for her, but who is helplessly, madly, head-over-heels in love with Emily. Katie deserves someone who is helplessly, madly, head-over-heels in love with Katie, and the Naomi you've written in THIS story is never going to be that person. You said it yourself: even if there were a million of your Naomis, they'd all want Emily.
