Wow, you really do not disappoint. When I noticed how well you meshed movie and book-verse in Restless, I didn't realize how extensively you did it. I'd like to thank you, first of all, for being revolutionary in that sense. I really haven't seen any one do it before you, at least not with the same caliber.

I can't think of what to praise you for next, so I will keep the fangirlish drooling at a minimum with just this; You are on a fantastic roll, one which I desperately hope isn't over. I've enjoyed everything thus far, and I really hope that there is more to come. If so, keep up the good work! If not, thank you for the wonderful pieces and greatest excuse for sleep deprivation I've had in months!

Oh wow, thank you, thank you. I don't really know what else to say except thank you! I read this and your comment on Restless just as I was feeling less than confident about my writing. Your timing was perfect.

There is hopefully more to come, though I don't know when. Real life takes over and time gets away from me. It was only when I came to post this piece that I realised the previous piece had been posted in May. But I definitely haven't finished with these two yet - there's much more about Caspian I want to explore and I barely understand Edmund at all.

Hey there. I have only recently begun seeking Narnia fanfic, and this is the just about the first really good and interesting one I've found. Interesting perspective and depth on Caspian, even though the story itself is pretty short. Very cool. Thanks!

The tapestries are a nice detail. I don't know why the rest of Narnia shouldn't be impressed by the torch, though... A relic of King Edmund the Just ought to be afforded pride of place even if it wasn't one of the Christmas gifts.

Maybe Caspian just wanted to keep it to himself ;)

Well, I for one like the title very much. *g*

This is lovely! I like how Caspian is able to find joy in his memories of Edmund and in the rebuilding of Narnia, and your explanation for the torch's presence on the ship is very sweet indeed. :-)

But it was a small piece of Edmund where previously there was none, and that was wonderful enough.

I like it too, it just seems maybe a bit too pun-ish. But as I said, I couldn't help myself.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment (I love that you always quote specific bits you like btw). Sorry for my very late response - I got the email notification while I was at work where I couldn't reply, and then I completely forgot about it.
