50 book challenge

Having seen the lj spotlighted community I thought it looked like fun. However, to save the sanity of the already large number of community members, I'm going to restrict my ramblings to you guys. Aren't you lucky.

Anyway, am currently on 2/50, and just started a third, so here goes:

We did A Kestrel for a Knave at school. Can't remember whether it was any good or not though - it was irrelevant at the time because I disliked any book I studied on principle. At least until To Kill A Mockingbird came along. Have you read that? You should, it's fabulous and a real classic. x

I have read To Kill a Mockingbird. At first I didn't like it at all, but thankfully it was a set text so I learned to love it. Mostly I like stuff more when I study it. This works especially well for shakespeare. I also managed to go from hating firebird to adoring it over the time we spent playing it in CYO.
