I was at the grocery store again today, and there was a young woman who was shopping there as well who had absolutely no qualms about talking to herself. Yes, I think it's the genuine loons that seemingly don't care who notices, but I also suspect that that is because they are totally unaware that they actually do it. The fact that we think we might probably puts us in the safe basket. That's what I tell myself anyway, though whether I tell myself in my head or outside of it is still open to debate ; )

In public, I usually continue the self-conversation, but I try to talk without moving my lips in a sort of a mumble. I have thought several times about getting a cell phone so that I could put it up to my ear--turned off, of course--and talk to my heart's content.
